How tragic!
I doubt it, considering his own vehicle was left at his friends apt, he got into someone else's car. As of now he is the only one found deceased so the question is WHO'S CAR WAS IT?"This just updated, cause of death was a gunshot wound. Since the car was found (burned to cover evidence most likely) this probably wasn't a carjacking gone wrong. Tragic no matter what the circumstances. Missing UofM student that vanished found dead, car burned, sources confirm
I remember that case, IIRC around 2009-2010. He was never enrolled, in fact he was never a medical student. He confessed to LE, led LE to a landfill but I don't recall that they ever found her body. Can't remember the surname, couldn't find any discussion of the case on WS.Thank you. My mind always goes back to the guy in Utah (?) who killed his wife when backed into a corner with an approaching graduation when he had not attended class for years.

Not the Interstate (I-40) at all, but US 70, which is multiplexed with US 64 and US 79 in the area. The road is also designated State Route 1, but signs in the area name it "Hwy 70".The above report says that the burned vehicle was on Highway 70. The friend says she tracked his cell to the interstate. Are these considered the same thing in that area? The friend also said they went looking there for him and didn't see anything and now the above article says "after the fire was put out" Did this person come back and set the fire later and that's how police found him? Putting out the fire?

Body found near burned car identified by police as missing U of M student
Barshay Wilson, the University of Memphis student who vanished the night before his graduation, was found dead, according to multiple sources.www.fox13memphis.com
"Wilson was found shot dead near the Arlington Water Treatment Plant on Monday night under leaves and tree limbs, independent sources close to the case told FOX13."
A lot of schools are allowing students who should have walked during canceled COVID ceremonies to walk in 2022-2023 ceremonies. My university is doing this, and additionally, they are printing our names in the 2022-2023 announcements - they were not in the 2021 announcement.I am still confused about him posting the degree earned in 2021 and commencement taking place in December 2022 unless it was a Covid postponement.
Maybe, I think he was dragged to the area he was found buried under brush and during that process his ID came out and the person didn't notice or thought it would just burn. IMOMaybe he knew he was in trouble once he was in the car and stuck his ID in the door himself?
