Both femurs broken, and raped, and you don't hear the child screaming? What evil monsters!!! The amount of pain that child is enduring. I just can't comprehend.

Makes me want to puke. I still don’t know how that’s even possible to do and I don’t want to know.... hope they both rot in hell.

It is not possible without causing great injury. The ongoing problems would be that the poor little boy has a colostomy bag and only time will tell if his rectum and lower bowel will heal enough for it to be removed.

What MSM is reporting his health issues?

That's one of the most bizarre stories. HOW was he climbing, and playing with both femurs broken? How was he active at all after being raped? Then compound ALL the injuries, and tell me how it wasn't known? How did the 'babysitter' NOT know immediately? From that above interview, the babysitter had him several hours before taking him to the ER?

She sounds like she’s lying IMO. It almost sounds from the interview and her timeline that Bowen is attempting to set up the babysitter (foster parent) for this rape. But it’s Bowen who has since been arrested. I have a feeling that Bowen is lying about all the running around and playing in that time period, and that the foster parent/babysitter took him to ER much earlier than Bowen was notified. O/T - does anyone else see a thread title and say, "Nope, not clicking that one, no way, no how, not doing it, can't do it"?

For me, it's this one. I hope this little one gets the help he needs on some many levels, but I just can't...

ETA: Yes, I realize I clicked on this one just to say that. I'm human. =)

Yes! It took me several days to brace myself. And I’m not sure I can stay, but maybe that little boy will know someday that people cared. Poor little thing. :(

I have not seen a MSM that states that he has both femurs "broken". Did I miss that article? There is a huge difference between fractured and broken. Either case is horrible but the differences being how much pressure was used whether the boy physically be able to walk after the injuries.

As unpopular as it may be, I believe someone should petition the Court and Judge to put a "gag order" on this case. Both for media and family. The boy is going to grow up and be able to read. With everything he is faced with to heal, having this rape and incest as an albatross around him as well should not be part of it.

Medically speaking, a fracture and a break are the same thing. In a medical record it would written as a fracture. Then there are various types of fractures. Layman term is broken bones, or a break in the bone.

The femurs are the strongest bones in our body, the upper leg bones take all of our weight when we walk.

Yes and it takes a huge amount of force to fracture them. In children, spiral fractures are the most commonly heard of, caused by an adult twisting and pulling the leg hard enough to break it :(
So sorry to type that

If they were broken at the top, it could also be referred to as a fractured hip which is what I read, that both hips were fractured. So at/near the ball and socket joints.

There is no punishment harsh enough for these two, IMO.

There is no difference in a break and fracture.

All I really know is I have had one each, a fractured ankle and an arm break at the left arm where it reaches the ball within the shoulder. My break in my left arm was all the way through the bone in a splintered fashion.

My ankle was a fracture that did not extend all the way through the ankle bone.

Just my experience.

<modsnip> I just hope the boy can recover as soon as possible.
In my opinion, the best option here would be changing his name, take him out of State and find a great family to love and care for him.
They have another child, a girl not older than 2 (at least she doesn't look older than that from the pictures). Not sure if he has more children from previous relationships but he has pictures with other kids on his Facebook.

A fracture and a break mean the same thing...that the bone is disrupted. But there can be different kinds of fractures/breaks, as you experienced.

Quoting the link:

While many people believe that a fracture is a "hairline break," or a certain type of broken bone, this is not true. A fracture and a broken bone are the same things!

To your physician, these words can be used interchangeably. While there are many types of fractures, or broken bones, there are other ways to describe fractures that give more specific meaning to the problem.

Both of these words mean that the normal bone structure has been disrupted.

Fracture vs. Break: Is One Worse Than the Other?
