I tried to follow this thread, came back to it twice, but could not after learning the child's condition after the rape.

Could someone briefly tell me if the child is OK now? If the child recovered. Thank you.

I haven't found any recent articles, so don't know how the child is now.... any one hear about his sentencing??

A Lawrenceburg court sentenced a man to 85 years in prison for the 2018 rape of his 16-month old son.

Simon Dean Porter will have no chance of parole as he serves his sentence of aggravated rape of a child and aggravated child abuse.

The two charges carry 60 and 25 year sentences for his actions on Nov. 10, 2018.

Judge Stella Hargrove issued the punishment Friday morning in a Lawrence County courtroom.

Oh GOOD! 85 years sounds good!

Now for the "mom" - and I use that term VERY loosely!! Trial is supposed to start on July 1. But I haven't be able to confirm that as she is out on bond & does not show up on the site that I have.

If you see anything about her - Danielle Bowen - please post! TIA!

I take that back-she's still in jail - she was offered a plea deal - I'll have look back on here to see what happened... unless she didn't take the deal and is going to trial.

Looks like she plead guilty to a lesser charge. Tired searching for "what" her sentence was - but of course, nothing is coming up over here.
