TBI searching for missing woman last seen going to church service in Virginia

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has asked for the public’s help in the search for a missing 67-year-old woman.

According to TBI, Brenda Howard was last seen on Saturday before heading to Scott County, Virginia to attend a church service.

Howard is missing from the Horton Ford area of Hancock County. She is believed to be traveling in a 2010 red Lexus RX5 with Tennessee tag 4F59H2.

Howard is 5′6″, 195 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

According to the TBI, 67-year-old Brenda Howard was last seen leaving her home in the Horton Ford area around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, February 27. Hancock County authorities said she was heading to Scott County, Virginia to attend a church service.

Just have a nagging feeling Brenda and her vehicle went off the road somewhere. Looked at the general area on maps, and there's so many heavily wooded areas along any route I think she could have taken. Sadly, no street view for most of those roads. Also wondering what the weather was like the day she headed out. MOO

"The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said foul play is not suspected in the death of a Hancock County woman.

The body of 67-year-old Brenda Howard was found in a car submerged in the Clinch River along Horton Ford Road on Wednesday, March 3.

She was reported missing a few days earlier from the Horton Ford Area of Hancock County, last seen heading to church in Virginia.

The TBI said an autopsy has been requested."
