Scanner thread and some others are located "downstairs" in the parking lot or the jury room. Those areas are members only, meaning guests cannot see or post in them.

We keep scanner chatter downstairs so as not to inadvertently give away important sensitive info when there is an active search or manhunt.

In the earlier articles it was stated he bought a lot of batteries at Walmart. My mind is scrambling trying to think of anything he would be using batteries for. Maybe we could list some possibilities.

Just a thought:
i have a camping lantern I bought from Walmart. It is somewhat small, made of plastic, & runs on batteries. It can sit flat (ex on a table) or has a hook so it can be hung. I bought it because my closet lighting system malfunctioned when my husband was out of town for work & I didn't want to mess with it myself. Relatively cheap (<$20 I think), but burnt through batteries very quickly. I bought it from the camping section at Walmart fwiw.

When I go camping I need batteries for my lanterns, flashlights, radio, IPOD, hand held games for the kids, camera, strobe, head lamp. That is honestly all I can think of that use traditional batteries. IMHO

Just saw this and I don't remember seeing this but apparently GS has custody at one point in time? It also states that GS picks up the girls from school and brings them to appointments or commitments when dad can't. I would guess that is why the school had no real issue of him signing her out of school

Yes, the Simpsons had custody of the children up until a year ago because their father was in jail. It was stated that up until she was taken out of school that day, that Simpson still played a major role in her upbringing. That's what makes his actions so bizarre and unexpected.

Re: new info that causes concern. Maybe his wife has told them things that, in hindsight, raises red flags...such as his behavior toward C., how he talked to her or about her, if he wanted to be around when she was bathing, etc...Things that weren't particularly noticed at the time, but now seem ominous. Or maybe the sibling has told them some things that she has seen or been told by C. Plus if his disappearing acts were to prepare a place, perhaps they could follow cell phone pings from the past few months/years to pinpoint an area unless he was too slick to take it with him. Thoughts and prayers for the little girl!!

Or maybe C.'s sister told police some things that caused an alarm.
