Hunt said he later received a phone call from his brother's girlfriend, who told him they would not be arriving in Georgia, according to a Cleveland Police Department report.

Hunt said he was unable to contact his brother and was only able to speak with his brother's girlfriend, who told him she and his brother had engaged in a verbal altercation.

She said his brother insisted she drop him off at Pilot Travel Center near Exit 20 in Cleveland, which she did. In addition, Sneed told officers the man deliberately destroyed his cellphone.

Hunt told police it is unlikely his brother would not attempt to contact him, adding that they spoke daily. Hunt told the Cleveland Daily Banner that his brother resided in Meigs County.
