<<Investigators determined that after her husband’s disappearance, Amy Anglea repeatedly falsified government documents and signed her husband’s name, which has allowed her to continue to receive his benefits for years.
Anglea misappropriated $238,688.54 in state pension benefits and $115,793.56 in health insurance benefits up through December 2023.
In February 2024, the Humphreys County Grand Jury indicted Amy Anglea on one count of theft of property over $250,000, one count of forgery, one count of destruction, tampering, or fabrication of a government record, and one count of identity theft.>>

<<In July 2010, Anglea was living on Howard Avenue in East Nashville. At the time, he was working part-time for a civil processing and warrants company. He told his family he was leaving on his motorcycle to serve some papers. However, he never returned home.
“He was reported missing July 29th of 2010. Approximately three years later, someone in Bedford County tried to register his motorcycle that he was last seen on,” Nielsen said.
Neilsen said the person claimed they found the Harley-Davidson on the edge of their property.
“As a precaution, Bedford County did take cadaver dogs out and searched the entire property. They didn’t find anything — there’s no evidence of foul play. There’s no evidence of suicide or suspicious death or even a natural death,” Nielsen said. >>
