I went back to the obit for Ms. Beals. It shows that "She is survived by her friends, Steve Johnson of Charlotte; Jimmy Kittrell of Franklin, TN, and several nieces and nephews." I came across the obituary for Mr. Kittrell which gives his age as 77 when he passed. Ms. Beals was 71. This is purely speculation on my part but I'm thinking UID "Steve Johnson" may have been around that same age as well. I found the NamUs profile for a Mr. Perry Z Johnson (73) who went missing from Memphis in 2013. Apparently he was living in a guest house whose owner took coffee to him one morning, but he wasn't there and he's never been seen again.

There is only one low-quality photo on Perry's profile which makes it hard to do a comparison. However, I do think he shares some similarities with "Steve Johnson". One potential excluding factor would be Mr. Perry Johnson's height is shown as 5' 10" - 6' 3" while Steve's height is estimated to be between 5' 4" - 5' 10". There is a fair amount of descriptive info about Perry on the profile. One thing that caught my eye was that he was wearing "Black Diabetic shoes, with two Velco Fasteners". This makes me wonder whether, if he left voluntarily and began a new life, over the years he might have needed a cane. Also interesting was this description which I think fits "Steve Johnson" as well: "He has small eyes and the lid on top will be overlapping".

That is interesting I wonder if there would be any way to track down friends or family of Patricia to see if they might know more information about the mystery man she had living with her for so long. He lived in the area for several years someone has to know at least a little about him I would think.

''The TBI identified 14 cases total that were eligible for the initiative that started in 2022. The Tennessee General Assembly approved a one-time funding of $100,000 to fund the initiative, which the TBI said is specifically being used to identify skeletal remains of victims in cold cases through forensic genetic genealogy testing. Remains from 10 of those individuals have been submitted to Othram Inc., a private lab based in Woodlands, Texas to conduct DNA extraction and sequencing.''

An artist rendering of what the man found in Dickson County a well may have looked liked. (NamUs)
The most recent case that the TBI submitted for DNA testing through the initiative was a white man believed to be between 47 to 67 years old that was found in Dickson County on May 18, 2018.

The man’s NamUs profile says that power line workers were reportedly performing “right of way” clearing and maintenance duties in an area between Cumberland Furnace and Greenwood when they found the man’s remains down in a well. According to NamUs, the unrecognizable remains found were consistent with a white male 35 years old or older, and he was estimated to be between 5’4″ and 5’10” tall.

I honestly think this guy is Glendon Jackson Little and sent this tip to Special Agent Bobby Simmons at
the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Date of Birth Used: September 8, 1941

Sex: Male
Weight: 200 pounds
Race: White
NCIC: W327877070
Nationality: American

Scars and Marks: Little has a scar on his left eyelid.
Remarks: Little is a former U.S. military marksman. He is an avid hunter and gun collector. It is believed that Little has ties to Tennessee. Little has an old back injury and may walk with a limp.

It's been nearly six years since Glendon Jackson Little allegedly walked into his former wife's house armed with a handgun and shot her boyfriend to death, then pumped two more rounds of ammunition into her.

But Susan Little, who survived the ordeal Jan. 5, 1984, and her four children are forced to live in hiding.

They still fear that Little, nicknamed Jack, will return and complete his vengeance by killing the whole family, police spokesman Sid Stell said.

Susan Little and her children changed their names shortly after the incident and moved to another city, said Stell, who would not disclose their location.

Susan Little was standing in her kitchen at 816 E Steed Drive that night cooking supper for her family when she heard her ex-husband shout from another room: "This is what you get for taking another man's wife," Stell said.

She told police she heard her boyfriend, Clyde Creager, plead for his life while Little fired three shots point blank into his body, Stell said.

The four children, who were in the house at the time, told police the shots sounded like firecrackers, Stell said.

He said Susan Little tried to hide behind the kitchen stove, but her boyfriend's assailant found her and shot her twice, once in the forehead and once in the shoulder.

After seeing what his father was doing, the Littles' 13-year-old son ran from the house and called police from a neighbor's home, Stell said.

Police found three other children, ages 2, 6 and 9, hiding in their bedrooms, Stell said.

Creager, 36, died at the scene, Stell said.

He said the last time anyone reported hearing from Jack Little was in 1986. At that time police found he had been living in Memphis, Tenn., Stell said.

Lt. George Swearingen, detective in charge of the six-year-old case, said Susan Little has not been found or contacted by her ex-husband since the killing.

Swearingen said he believes Little is still hiding somewhere in Tennessee.

I also sent this tip to Oklahoma Department of Corrections because Glendon Jackson Little still has an active warrant and is still a wanted fugitive of Oklahoma.

I have already received a prompt reply.

Thank you Xxxx for the information, I will definitely pass this along to the appropriate personnel!

Little’s 13 year old son witnessed the murder of Clyde Craiger. He subsequently ran to a neighbor’s to call police. All the while Susan and his siblings hid in the bedroom, terrified that they were next.

The family moved and changed their names but they continued to be fearful that he might find them.

His 13 year old son (I use that term loosely, he only shares dna nothing else with Glendon Little) would now be a man in his 50s. I hope he knows he did a brave thing running to the neighbor’s to call police.

If this turns out to be Glendon Little, I hope the Craiger and Little families can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that he will never hurt them or anyone ever again.

Received approval from mods to include this YouTube video because it features an interview with Susan Little.

I was also able to find this. I can’t fully make out what it’s stating, can anyone else?

It has a date of 2016, and further connects Glendon Little to this this John Doe. Our Doe is believed to have passed away 2 years prior to being found is that right?
I do think it further leads credence to my theory that Little is the John Doe in Dickson County.

I'm thinking of sending this to @othram as well. Going to send an email sometime soon.

I look forward to a future identification on "Steve"

There are quite a few similarities between him and Glendon Jackson Little
1. Those ears!
2. Both have a limp
3. "Steve" was foraging for mushrooms, Little was an active hunter and likely knew how to do this
4. The alias also hints to "Steve" possibly being a fugitive on the run which also matches Glendon
5. Both have a connection to Tennessee. Little was last sighted in Tennessee in 1986 and as of late 1989, they thought he was still hiding there.

I'm not sure what relation Glendon Little has to this exactly, but that's a court case settling an estate of someone who has passed (SRL) Ms. Little is listed as the executor, or the person handling the estate.

Thank you for explaining this confusing document. Do you know what “investment person” might be referring to?

Glendon’s kids were given new identities. I wonder if the deceased person Samuel Little was his child and he had passed away? And the legal document might be using his old name not the new identities law enforcement gave them?

Hmm… it’s all confusing but does seem to suggest that Little was in Tennessee around the time that this “Steve Johnson” was believed to have passed away.

Thanks again much appreciated. It was so confusing.
