Defense is getting close to asking that statements be put in charges that should be done in closing arguments, IMO.

(Susan?) Jones, the state legal guru is there as usual, making sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed.

Pros has shown GT benefitted from the crime/s by riding around in Channon's 4R eg, but I'm worried it may be a tough sell to the jury re responsibility... I believe he IS criminally responsible but like others, not sure they were able to sufficiently prove it. :furious: Absent some direct or overt enticement, it seems isolating his actions wherein GT permitted crimes to occur would be something like holding or keeping Channon there at the house while they took Newsom--VC is totally criminally responsible by that definition IMO.

(snip) Yo, I've decided the reason there is no comparable reply or counterpart (to nomsayn ie norsayn eg for I know what you're sayin) is because noone actually ever does know what anybody else is saying.

 Especially Thomas, I literally had no idea what the hell he was saying in the audio tape. Still didn't after reading the transcript. Actually, it seemed as if he was trying very hard not to say anything.

That whole argument they were having is lost on me.

It appears he was looking at the families.
It does. Or TK... It struck me as more a look of curiosity than the LD-like aggression or arrogance.

This guy has me so perplexed. I do want him put away, because just sitting by when such horrors are occurring is inexcusable, and a message needs to be sent.

But especially now that I've heard he has no record, I tend to believe he really didn't take part in the assaults. He just doesn't seem like a violent or aggressive person - just a stoned-out doper, like Julie said.

I'm becoming convinced that Boyd (who has a nasty record) is the third instigator, and I want to see him tried and fried for it. I'm afraid a quiet deal was struck with him for giving LE Slim's whereabouts; if so, that is a crime.

I read that the judge in his case said he wanted to send him away forever, because he was convinced Boyd did a lot more than he was accused of, but couldn't, because congress had passed an 18 year max he had to limit it to.

I completely agree. Wish I had a better feeling about this trial.

I believe Boyd will face state charges after all of these trials are over. Davidson and Cobbins weren't the only two carjackers. In an interview after Boyd's conviction, Gary said they weren't done with him yet.

IMO, G.T. did more than just sit there. I don't know what his part was in all of this, but I don't believe he was an innocent bystander. He continuously lies throughout his interrogation. Why?

Anyone know which defendant was going to make a deal? If I remember correctly, one of the defendants was suppose to tell the "truth" about what happened for a life sentence but the victims' families turned it down after looking at the prison.

Thanks to all of you that post the updates on here. I can't sit and watch it like I did Cobbins & Davidson, so I depend on you guys postings. I do get the jamie twitters, but much more is here.
So, thank you.

Thomas Dillard says Judge Richard Baumgartner will have his motion to acquit George Thomas in writing on Saturday.

Attorneys will argue about if Thomas should be acquitted on Monday.

Defense attorneys in virtually all criminal cases, will ask for an acquittal under rule 29 and claim the prosecution has not proven their case.

The state rested after TBI DNA Serologist Jennifer Millsaps finished testifying shortly before 11:30 a.m..
The judge told the jury before he released them for the day, that the defense is going to take the weekend to decide if they will put on any proof. But Dillard and Stephen Johnson did not put any witnesses on the stand on Saturday.

The judge has decided to give Thomas until Monday to make his decision on whether or not he will testify.
Judge Baumgartner told jurors to expect to hear closing arguments on Monday then they will begin their deliberations...

Absolutely. That's why I still want him put away. There is no excuse. Period.

It's time to send a message that we're not putting up anymore with enablers and "nunnamybidnez" mentalities.

I wasn't directing the post at anyone in particular nomsayn... how are you Julie?

Aw thanks I didn't think you were, but I do wish I would have seen and heard it because with just reading and watching him in court he looks a little slow/off. OMG if I never hear another nomsayn it will be to soon. lol
