GT's grandma lived on a lake, had a business, was financially secure.

I think this lady is nice and well-meaning, but she reminds me of Davidson's foster mother, who got him out on parole, upon which he committed these crimes.

Color me a meanie, but bleeding hearts like that annoy the hell out of me with their enabling of abuse.

Their hearts need to bleed for the victims of monsters they feel so sorry for.

Great Grandma had 3 or 4 homes. Worked in adult care giving. George Visited with her. did not live with her. she passed in the early 90's

no more questions for this witness. Side bar

Is it just me, or do the families, the judge and the prosecutors seem more relaxed this time around? Wonder if getting the first couple of trials, and /or convictions under their belts has taken off some of the pressure.

Agree. I think its also because they are passed the Cobbins and Davison, the ones that they probably had the most hate for.

They are also secure in the knowledge now that only a couple of facts/evidence can even be questioned. Their case is solid.

did the judge come back and say what the side bar was for? My husband called and I couldn't hear.

Morning Muffet! Thanks for all your commentary. I think they may overturn part of George too, but maybe not. When you read the law, the jury did have grounds for the convictions. And just because there's not DNA doesn't mean GT didn't rape or murder. The system might give this one to the jury.

Anyone know when Vanessa's up?

I think you are right. Part of George's charges may end up overturned. As far as the rape charge, there has always been evidence of rape by object, hasn't it? It could have been VC or GT who used an object. I hope the juries' decision stands.

I am sitting here bawling, tears streaming down my face... and I have heard Gary's statement like six times now...

HOW CAN GT JUST SIT THERE LIKE A STONE.

:parrot:

IMO, because he has no conscience, no remorse and sees the victims as being without worth.:furious:

The judge is back.

SuziQ, I just got home and I'm trying to get caught up. Were they on lunch break? WBIR isn't showing anything. Update please!

ETA: I'm caught up on this morning's testimonies, just not sure where we are at now.

Okay, WBIR is working now.

Dillard complaining about letters GT wrote being brought up. And wins right to clarify to jury that GT's claim about going to college was not made to his aunt and he never made that claim to her.

GT's brother on the stand. I did not catch his name.

Antoine Jones, GT's bro. Dad goes under the bus. Was abusive to kids, hit them in the chest, whooped them with extension cord and belt when they were tied to pole.

Brother is describing the beatings they got from their dad.

This sounds like what happened to the kids in the family of little Aarone Thomspson in Denver. Parents used to whoop kids in basement tied to pole. Then, one day a social worker noticed the family was a kid short. After that, they figured the other kids in the family hadn't seen her for a couple of years. Father was just convicted of her murder.
