Wants jury to know GT is a loner, quiet and keeps to himself... doesn't bother anyone. Says he dislikes confrontation, walked away from fights. "My son is a good boy. He's my baby, I birthed him. I don't want to see him die... George is a good person, and I love him. I'm just asking the mercy of the court. That's my baby. Please have mercy on my child."

Where is any empathy or compassion expressed for victims' families tho... the "mercy and grace" for these victims? She never speaks of that.

Loving person, loner, quiet, he doesn't bother anyone, doesn't like confrontation, doesn't like fights, my son is a good boy, i birthed him, I beg the mercy of the court, I don't want to see my son die, and I love, have mercy on my child, Please have mercy on my child, he don't desrve it (channon and chris didn't deserve death!)

That's my baby I love that boy with all my being. God is good God is going to make a way. i just ask you each and everyone of you to have mercy in your soul. All I can do is just beg you. I Love him his family loves him. I pray for my safe, him and the other families. By the grace of God thats my baby and I love him. you guys don't know him like I know him.

I love you George and you know this.

He better not cry now... because there was not a single tear for anybody else.

He's slightly nodding but wearing the same expression he's always had. Both of the are a bit detached IMO.

  • #605
He didn't even shed a tear for his momma that birthed him

This is killing me, all the things she is saying do they honestly think that the Newsome's and the Christian's didn't love their children? Didn't live for their children? Wouldn't have chosen to die themselves instead of their children? Should those families suffer more because she feels like her son was a good kid?

Suzi, i think it was sincere. But now they finally show GT, he's just sitting there. His broken hearted mother begs for his life and he still cant muster up a tear. It was easy for hiim to sit there and see those things done to Channon. He is dead inside.

I REALLY don't understand what a person did BEFORE they murdered or helped murder a couple of people has anything to do with anything here.
He had an instant decision to make: stay around and be at least an accomplice to murder, leave, or actually call the police..... He made the WRONG choice then, not when he was 9 years old. Rant over I guess! :furious:

Armstrong ( Uncle) moved away fairly early in George's life.

Doc lives with Mom. Did he travel down here with you? Yes and he is unemployed for almost a year. He was a direct care worker (worked in a group home) went back and got his GED.
Brittany is a student at WD Ford career school and works as a direct care worker.

Aunts, neighbor, friends, and Grandma helped take care of them when they were younger.

So two of the 3 are upstanding citizens with that horrible (yeah right) child hood.

Bridget Thomas, the mom

Interesting, she's a big woman...Stacy was a big woman

Despite the long hours 16 hours a day, reliable people, friends and family babysat her kids. Probably not much different than Leland and TK's long hours.

Taught her children right from wrong, and incouraged good behavor. George was a good child. Very seldom got in trouble. Didn't like fights, always willing to help people. People in distress he was always willing to help.

that's it!!

Leland making the point that GT knew how to walk away from trouble and liked to help people. In other words must not have wanted to walk away or help the vics at Chipman.

I do think it was a bit inappropriate for her to keep saying "he is a good boy". when we all know he isnt. She should have said "he CAN be a good boy" or something like that. Otherwise, it just minimizes what happened to Channon or else shows how detached she is from the man that George turned into.
