Ok this is really bugging me. Lets say searchers hadn't found the SUV and hadn't located the print of Davidson on the receipt. They wouldn't have found the Chipman house. Would they have still put Channon in the garbage can? I guess what I mean is if they hadn't seen police at her SUV, they wouldn't have took off. Would they have continued to torture her until she did die or would they have put her in the garbage can and then burned her? It's just bugging me that they may have burned her and her still alive.

I know there is no way we can know the answers, but it just keeps going around in my head.

ETA: sorry, these are just the most horrific murders I've ever read about and I can't get them out of my head.
