This attorney is making stuff up because none of this is recorded.

WTH??? Is Lavit trying to introduce facts not in evidence?

Asking Waggoner if she said he put her things in a garbage bag, tried to leave, and was brought back at gunpoint?

Where does this come from?

TK objects - as do others... Judge says to put the question as one fact at a time...

Waggoner says he doesn't remember that, will have to look at his interview notes of Jan 17...

Condescending, pushy and argumentative all at once. lol

Waggoner trying to dodge "the ? Is confusing," he says.

Lavit - did Coleman "tell u she tried leave and was brought back at point of gun"

Waggoner - "It's just not possible. That house is smaller than this court" of whether Coleman largely unaware

Break. But I bet judge says something after jury leaves.

Absolutely. I wonder if defense attorneys ever think about that their behavior might have an influence on the jury? I know it shouldn't because they make their judgments based on facts, but it must be really hard NOT to.

Dang, sound off and judge leaving.

Am I allowed to say how much I dislike the defense att?

If I were Judge B., that lawyer would be sitting in the jailhouse for the evening, plus have a nice healthy fine to go along with his night in the jail!

I feel for Judge B., I really do....

Suzi, have you heard anything anywhere about this whole "tried to leave with things in a trashbag but was brought back at gunpoint" story Lavit is trying to paint by questions?

I forget so many things these days, but that seems too memorable.

If it were true, no way she would have left it out of any interview. imo

The attorney is supposed to fight for his client. Don't forget they can get into legal trouble for not providing effective counsel. I don't want an appeals court granting her a new trial.

I dislike Vanessa but her attorney is OK by me.

I don't recall any of that. And he went into it after establishing that the tape recorder wasn't on.

Judge talking to Lavit. Identify statement you are talking about, no jumping around. Helps judge, witness, jury.....

  • #217
I think that means, Lavit needs to have it recorded somewhere to bring it up. He can't just pull it out of thin air.

Saturday is Lavit sabbath.

  • #218
Yes or no Lavit, do you want Saturday off or not?

Judge asks Lavitt if Saturday's his Sabbath, he says yes, but... stutters... Judge asks if he usually observes it, and he says no. Then he goes into a strangely long story about how he was born in Brooklyn then moved to TN as a child... OK, so he says everyone in TN has been tolerant of his religion, and he doesn't want to be a problem for them. So Saturday is ok.

Sheesh.
