Didn't someone break into the Chipman house before the weekend of the murders? IIRC it was gang retaliation or something along those lines. Or am I just totally off base and talkin' outta my head? tee hee (sorry, kinda getting in a silly mood cause it's Friday and I'm almost off work )

Oh and ITA about VC being jealous of Cobbins. IMO she took that out on Channon, didn't like it that he was with Channon.

Is there a specific reason why they don't remove the evidence from the packages? Is it to spare the families pain?

IIRC, Daphne thought Davidson made the whole thing up about her white ex vandalizing their house because a white guy would have spelled "" not "" and blue paint that it was spray painted with was on Davidson's shoes. I guess Davidson has never watched an episode of CSI.

The judge complained about the display of evidence as being too time consuming. Got mad about Channon's pink shoes being showed over and over.

Wow, too time consuming? That blows my mind. The jury should see the things that Channon and Chris wore and were killed in.

I missed it, but I remember her DNA appearing, but I think it was skin cells on the curtain fabric, or possibly the sheets.

Wait till you hear how much the family victim impact statements are whittled down before they are allowed. Also pictures of alive and happy Chris and Channon may not be allowed. And only the parents are allowed to wear their own childs picture, etc. Victims have no rights.

OK, regarding Daphne's DNA... In this post, it says there was an unidentified female's DNA on the floral fabric, and down below, Daphne's was on her and LD's mattress.

Thats what I would think. If someone else had tied the bindings, you'd think their DNA would be on the strips. I bet the Prosecution draws attention to this fact in closing arguments.

Hey SuziQ, I went back and read all the threads about the trials yesterday, I think I got up to Davidsons guilty verdict then sentencing. I couldn't believe that the family had to edit what they wanted to say in their impact statements and could only show some photos.

Why can't they they state their feelings fully and show whatever they like? I just don't get that, it is truly unexplainable to me. And yet the murderers can give hours upon hours of mitigation, their family can come in and say whatever they want for how long they want.

This is not justice! Not trying to slag off the American justice system as I am sure ours is just as bad but you can understand why the families of the victims get so upset. The criminals really do have all the rights - the victims none.
