Defense objecting to jury being allowed the transcripts of interviews, they can only have audio recordings.

I'm not sure the defense gained much today. Sure, mom supported some of the theory that Vanessa was held against her will, but Mom's credibility is pretty shaky, and it was off-set by Dad, who didnt support the defenses case.

If the defense has rested, it looks like the afternoon will be spent with the judge charging the jury. The MOST tedious and boring hours in all the trials. He basically just reads the charge to them. I'll get the link to it.

Why would you block collect calls? If you dont want to accept the charge, just say "no." You dont need to block them. I've never heard of that.

Nor have I. Even the way she said it sounded like she was making it up.

I can't imagine a parent doing that, anyway.

Because others in the house who don't pay the phone bill, accept collect calls (my guess would be from friends in jail), and the parents don't want to pay for it. There is nothing they can do once the collect call has been accepted.

I think VC has called on her parents many many times to bail her out of trouble and they stopped taking her calls. JMO
