Not smiling now. No doubt she's more worried about how these statements will effect the jury than feeling any sympathy or guilt.

If she ever had any heart or conscience, she would have been crying for Channon and Chris and berating herself for not stopping it, instead of trying to cover her sorry butt and Cobbins'. :no:

That, the daddy's urge to protect his daughter, and realizing she was already kidnapped when she made the phone call to him .. all have to be just horrible demons for him to live with. :no:

Mr. Christian received a call from Channon, I cant remember the time, but after midnight. She just said she would be late. He didnt detect anything wrong. But it is clean now that she was being held captive at that time and forced to make that call. I belief the Verizon rep in the Davidson trial testified that call was made from Chipman area. Clearly from inside the house.

Yes. At around 12:30am, he answered the phone when she called home. She said she and Chris were going to get something to eat, and maybe were still watching a movie at a friend's, so she wouldn't be home until around 3.

Davidson apparently wanted to make sure they didn't start looking for her. She had been kidnapped for a few hours by then.

I don't know why but I feel like Channon still believed at that time that she would be let go.

That is so sad... I can't imagine how hard that phone call was to make, probably knowing it may be the last time she would talk to her father.
