Gary Christian is on the stand talking about his daughter's heart for people and their pain

Channon would sit up all night holding a friend's hand and talk for hours with someone who had a problem. She followed her brother over 5 states, watching him throw a baseball. She wouldn't let anyone say anything bad about her brother. She loved her mother, they were not just mother/daughter, they were best friends. THE LAST THING SHE SAID TO DADDY WAS "I LOVE YOU."

Parents have had to seek help from doctors to deal with the hate, and the endless thoughts of the horror that their daughter endured, and the pictures now engrained in their minds of the last hours of her life. Was she still alive when they found her Forerunner? This is painful!!!! Dad will never get to say yes to a young man, and walk his daughter down the aisle, or dance with her at her wedding.

He'll never get to hold the children she wanted so badly to have. He will forever live with the constant haunting thoughts that she was calling him to come and help her, save her.

Hopes he can one day tell her he is sorry that he couldn't hear her cries. Hopes she knows that he loves her more.

Gary Christian cried from the stand and stared Cobbins down as he walked back to his seat.

Deena was told she would never have children. Having Chase and Channon made them a perfect family. She knew she wanted to help kids, she loved kids. She was loyal and loving, would do anything for a friend.

 

[Mama-cita]

Chase and Channon only 17 months apart, they were like twins. She was "Daddy's little girl" and "Mommy's little peanut." Beautiful, compassionate, so much love to give, would never hurt a soul. She lit up a room with her smile. She would have graduated at the end of the year. Worked two jobs while taking classes at school.

Chase and Channon never got in any trouble, never used drugs, never got anything. Always came to her mom and shared everything. She had her wedding planned out, and had the song picked out to dance with her daddy at her wedding. She wanted 4 children, a boy first so he could "watch over" and protect the other siblings.

 

[Mama-cita]

Deena regrets she failed her daughter and was unable to keep her safe. Every waking moment she is haunted with what she had to endure. Would trade places with her in a second. Deena will never be the mother of the bride. Deena is constantly afraid for the safety of all her loved ones, always looking over her shoulder. Heart breaks that she can't help Gary and Chase with their pain.

"I still expect her to walk through the door." "I pick up the phone to call her until I realize she can't answer anymore." "I pray she can forgive me for not protecting her." "She wasn't perfect but she made us all better just by knowing her." "My perfect family is now broken."
