I was reading transcripts last night and the thing I can't get over is the ease with which these beasts lie. No one heard Channon scream in spite of the fact the ME said some of the bruising she had in some areas was from screaming? WTH? I can't imagine what kind of monster can just stay in that house, and "cook breakfast for their man" -- sausage, biscuits, egg, oatmeal -- knowing what is going on and hearing the anguished pain of that girl. It is for that reason that I don't care WHO had WHAT role in WHICH murders, they are all equally guilty and anything less than death for all of them is a failure of epic proportions. I know TF indicated they don't have any evidence to seek further charges against Boyd, but, geez, maybe the feds have someone on the inside (the prison system) that they can get to "whack him" while everyone looks the other way. Believe me, society will not lose anything if that creep is not allowed to draw another breath; in fact, the world only stands to gain from him not wasting anymore of our oxygen...

I'm sure there are some white supremists groups in the Tennessee prisons, so maybe they can take care of society's trash. JMO They don't deserve to live, but waiting fifteen years (after all their appeals) to have them eat a good meal, lay down, and have a needle placed in their arm, just doesn't seem to be enough for me. I'm also afraid that if they're given life then they'll just be haning out with monsters just like themselves. They'll get family visits, watch television, etc.

I don't know why Davidson is so adamant about a Knox jury. But I am suspicious of his motive as well.

Especially in light of the fact that during the phonecalls with Daphne he talks about how he'll automatically be considered guilty because he's a "black man" in Knoxville Tennessee...the only reasonable assumption I have is that his gang-banger friends would be able to help him with jury intimidation of jurors family and friends...possibly leading to a hung jury? I would think if his insistance is KNOX he can't later cry "I didn't have a fair jury" in the appeals process, although I don't know the law well enough to know whether that is legitimate grounds for appeal or not.

Even with a sock in her mouth, they would have heard something. Especially when "Nessie" claims she could hear "E," "Rome" and "G" whispering in the living room while she was in the shower and the WATER WAS RUNNING!!!!! These beasts must think everyone is as imbecilic as they are.
I agree that the needle is way to good for these beasts. We put a dog to sleep, a beloved pet, slowly and quietly, to alleviate their suffering. Why do savage beasts deserve that same right? And now there are criminals trying to say LETHAL INJECTION is CRUEL AND UNUSUAL punishment? WTH??? They deserve skinning, stoning, public flogging, forced consumption of feces, and more, and all that before they are finally guillotined in public with a crowd cheering. At the very least, bring back Old Sparky, that might stoke a little fear in them, at the hour of their death. Getting a SLEEPING drug, and sedative, so that they are unconscious when their heart is chemically stopped is certainly too dignified, and is way more than was offered to any of the victims of these beasts...

You're right. There's no way the people (and I use the term loosely) in that house didn't hear SOMETHING. I was just thinking that there were other homes on that street and if Channon had been screaming it's possible that they would hear her. Maybe screaming during the night isn't all that unusual around there. IDK. Either way, there were multiple opportunities for those there to know what was going on and get help. No one did anything. Therefore, I feel they are just as guilty as the one doing the raping, pulling the trigger, etc. I know all of you feel the same way.

I hope they definitely get a jury outside of Knox for Davidson. I have been trying to figure out why he is so adamant that his come from Knox. He is in a gang, remember? If jurors are from Knox, is it possible some of his "homies" can work to intimidate (or worse!) jurors friends and families? In spite of his insistence, I hope the JUDGE can overrule him and say that in light of the fact that TWO of the four trials will have already taken place in Knox, that there is NO WAY there are 12 people from the county haven't heard about it, especially with the trial being covered on local news. Why do you all think he is insisting on a Knox jury?

I think LD wants a Knox jury because he is from there and feels he may get a more sympathetic jury of "his" own peers.

Hopefully we will get that information at Davidson's trial.

I re-read my post about white supremists taking out society's trash and I hope no one got the wrong idea. I'm not racist. I just meant in the case of these monsters that committed this horrible crime, they're trash. I just think that since some believe that this is a hate crime (and I do) that the white supremists will be waiting for them.

The Newsom family has arrived at the courthouse.

The jury remains quiet. No jury questions so far.

The defense and prosecution will then take those results and submit them to Judge Baumgartner

David Eldridge and Leland Price are meeting to go over the jury questionnaire to figure out what changes they can agree on

It will actually be Davidson's attorneys back in court, because Davidson waived his right to be in the courtroom today.

Baumgartner said it will be way too time consuming and he will not ask potential jurors to do that. He will allow 1 or 2 narrative questions
