Why? Not in an accusatory way at all, just wondering...

Silly really. It's just that (and I don't say this often) but the defense seems a little slimey, and it already seems they might be willing to use any opportunity to trash these victims. I don't want her to give them any more info than she absolutely has to. The prosecuter can handle this and she is, brilliantly. I just worry.

Defense cross.

Where did Chris buy his mj? Don't know.

Clarifying Channon dies her hair blonde.

4runner leased to Gary and Deena.

12:33am Channon called Gary. Pointing out Gary wasn't concerned heard no distress. Was typical conversation. No cause for concern. Heh, Deena threw hearsay back at him.

What was the point of discussing her hair color (natural color, versus highlights, etc)? Am I just stupid?

10 minute recess

Prosecution recross. Deena did not talk to her. Hearsay objection, Deena. Sasses back says she can speak for herself. She thinks she would have been able to tell if Channon was in distress IF she spoke to her.

[Tempted to title this with my real feelings, but don't want to be TO'd for profanity.]

I loved how Deena Schooled Trant. He kept objecting hearsay and when he wanted to know about Gary's phone call she said nope hearesay. My words not her exact ones.

I wish Channon would have thought to throw in some kind of 'off' information or statement that would have alerted the dad that things were not right with
her situation... like maybe saying going to Kentucky/beach/strip club or something. Then maybe they could have found her before the murder.
She probably didn't want her dad to worry, so sad.

I wonder what the defendant is thinking when he hears how much Channon & Chris were loved and that they were real people with wonderful lives. I just wonder if he feels the least bit guilty or sorry about what he did? Most likely just sorry he was caught. It is just so hard to believe someone can be so cold.

The bold is what goes through my mind too, dg. :( She prolly knew there was nothing they could do, at least not safely, and knew they'd be insane with fear for her...

I forget the timeline and reasons for benchmarks...Who saw her SUV there at 12:30?
Do we know how soon after they had been abducted this call was made?

I just think they were both so afraid, even us adults really wouldn't know how to handle something like this. I often think I would do this or that, but really you don't know.......I just pray that god some how made it easier for them and their bodies went into shock.

The guy who worked across the street from the house saw the car there at 12:30, IIRC.

They were kidnapped shortly before 10pm.

There was a little girl here who was killed at her school after a hostage situation in which this guy broke in to her classroom, threw out the teacher and the boys, and I think the non blonde girls, and started molesting the girls left. Eventually the police got all the girls but her out. When her dad texted her, "Are you all right?" during the stand-off. She texted back, "I love you guys." Who knows what Channon had been told. They could have told her they kill her parents if she let on there was trouble.

Sidenote: Normally I don't get too irritated by the defense guys. They have a job to do, ok, but these guys are bugging the heck out of me.

Could it be up to that point Channon thought that she and Chris would be released?

That is probably correct... but I sure do wish she would have dropped some sort of hint that things at that moment were very bad. They were probably scared out of their wits though :furious: .

Yeah. I'm dying to see what the defense has to support their asking Channon's friend if she'd be surprised to learn that Chris & Channon were seen at that convenience store by Cherry rd, and if they do have proof, then what time it was...
