What a cute old lady. She was his tutor I think?

At times, this seems like the penalty phase in Scott Peterson's trial. I hope it has the same result.

What answer could there be? "Because he exhales carbon dioxide, which plants need to live?" Other than that I'm drawing a blank...

None, in my eyes, but they obviously think he should, or they wouldn't be there.

Why would any of this really matter? Was he robbed, beaten, raped and tortured by his foster parents? Geez, this would have the opposite effect on me than the one they desire.

Does the state get to cross examine this old lady?

Why can they have this lady testify. The prosecution can't cross examine her...she's not there. I realize her testimony is useless but they've been nit picky when it favors the defense, why not the prosecution?

I do wonder if it had been a good-looking young black couple... would all that have happened? Would they have robbed them and let them go, or was it just a matter of time before he exploded in violence?

I have no idea how this is getting in. I've been practicing law a while and NEVER seen a party say "i've got a short vidoe to show" and then have that turn out to be a video testimony that can't be cross-examined. I didnt see it all, but did the state have someone at the depostiong? did they stipulate to its admission?

I didn't hear anyone mention that the state had someone present at the deposition. Like I said, in my opinion, her testimony was useless, but unfair.
