Reminding jurors not to deliberate among themselves, wait until morning after closing remarks on what they think appropriate sentence is. Judge will give instructions then to guide them on that decision.

Davidson actually looked a bit sad and very tired as they led him out. maybe he will realize he had a chance, people loved him, and he threw it away.

The thing about do-gooding is that it often, sadly, does no good. They damage had already been done by the time they started trying in this case, and he could be a sociopath.

Interesting. Missed live shot, but the instant I saw this pic posted and before reading your comment I was struck by that same first hint of emotion on his face.

He has! There's a stark difference since Cobbins. He looks spent. Possibly another casualty of this awful crime....

Didn't see him today, but they had (I suppose) cops in plain clothes sitting in the gallery throughout the trial. On breaks or at the end of the session, they get up and go out with him.

I dont know, but I assume its a plain clothes officer.

Oh my, she and husband went to his parole hearing. Helped get him out early? Wonder how she feels about that. Help get him out of prison, then he goes on to commit one of the most horrific crimes we've seen.

I can assure you that she and her husband feel no guilt whatsoever for what happened to Channon and Chris. I know people like this.

It's different kind of grief than the ME testimony... that at least was tempered by rage.

Today's testimony, start to finish, just leaves me feeling ...despair. :no:

I can assure you that she and her husband feel no guilt whatsoever for what happened to Channon and Chris. I know people like this.

I do too. That's what's so hard - I know people like that do help some kids... and I greatly admire them for it.

Plus, we have to remember that if we had been here 10 years ago, reading about LD's early upbringing, we too would have pitied and embraced him, and expressed our outrage at his mother.

But when these kind souls take it to the point of trying to get them off of being held responsible, and accepting their due punishment, they go from being angels of mercy to being enablers and tools of victimization of innocents, like Chris and Channon. :no:

Yep, we'll see. But this whole line of witnesses for the defense in my opinion just showed, yes he had a bad start, but he sure got a lot of second chances, and there were a lot of people that tried awfully hard to help him, and he just kept throwing it away. In closing the State needs to just point that out and then say this isnt about Lemaricus's childhood. Its not about him anymore. its about what he did just 2 years ago. And its about justice for 2 innocent kids. When second chances were being handed out, lemaricus Davidson kept getting in line. Channon and Chris got no second chance. That animal raped another man. Are we really going to put him a prison with a bunch of other men? What about the men in prison that really are trying to turn their lives around? They'll just be new victims of Slim, but you wont ever hear about their tortures. Instead of being rehabilitated they will become the same as Slim. Death row is the only way to end this particular cycle of horror. Anything else is cruel to countless other future victims.

I feel the same Muffet. The rage helped before. But this testimony, about the lost chances, the wasted effort by soooo many. Just leaves me sad.

The first time I heard the ME's testimony, I cried, and I'm a man of the old school. This time, I was in a cold rage. You don't cry when feeling rage. After today, I am more in favor of the DP for this creature than ever before.

I mentioned the Scott Peterson penalty phase earlier. The jury for Peterson gave him the death penalty, I suspect, because he seemed the kind of creep who deserved it. This applies to Davidson. Just look at how much help he was given.
