Thank you, Jayde and Indi... I re-watched closing arguments of the defense and the followup by Price this evening, but I'd like to see TK's closing and can't find it anywhere.

If anyone comes across it, please let us know! :)

I watched that - it was great! I still want to high-five every time I hear Price say that Ethyl Freeman came up "in the 11th hour" with that nonsense about sighting Chris and Channon at the Exxon. :D

For some reason I can't set tweets to text my phone. I hope I can fix it tomorrow.

Goodnight everyone.

Go figure, right. I remember where one case I followed the Judge told the family members "you cannot cry." It sickens me.

That judge should be reprimanded! That is nothing short of badgering the victims families!

There needs to be reform that will put the victims and the defendants on an equal footing. There is something very wrong with a society that allows a criminal more rights then a victim!

Hoping and praying for swift and deserved justice! I only hope that an "inadequate defense" argument can not be raised in the future!

Is the jury allowed to go home each night or do they all stay together in a hotel?

They all stay together at a hotel.

You must see this picture of TK and Deena. Great article as well.

Who’s fooling who?
In the final round of closing arguments Tuesday in the trial of alleged torture slaying ringleader Lemaricus Davidson, both sides accused the other of trying to fool jurors with unsupported claims.
“The prosecution has said they can’t tell you a story,” defense attorney David Eldridge told jurors. “What the prosecution did … was they made one up.”
“(Davidson’s) story is totally absurd,” prosecutor Leland Price countered. “You haven’t been presented with a story (by the prosecution). What you’ve been presented with is a first-degree murder case.” More at link.

Ok, got my tweets fixed. Hmmmm, sounds like the jury covered alot of ground.

I wonder how this case will haunt the members of the jury once it's over.

Well, I logged in 10 minutes ago and the courtroom was buzzing with chatter... had they already had a session and sent the jury off for deliberations?

  • #391
I didn't see anything, but heared the buzzing also. Do they just have to hang around there all day?

  • #392
I wouldn't expect so, Julie. I would, though. LOL

I'm keeping the video and my speakers on high, so I'll be sure to know if things start buzzing again. I set the page to reload every 15 minutes, in case it drops off.

Ah, they just brought Gutter in.

  • #393
Jury wants to review Gutter's statement, and the judge prefers that they do it in a court session instead of in the jury room.

Won't allow any questions or comment or reactions by anyone in courtroom.

Eldridge is objecting to having this done in an open public courtroom... deliberations should be private.

Judge says they are in the deliberation stage, but won't be talking... The reason to do it is physical / technological - the screen won't fit in the jury room, etc.

It's a public proceeding only to the extent that it's being re-watched in a public courtroom.

I see family there, except for Gary.

Judge has just brought in jury.. says they are going to replay the whole tape... if anyone needs to take a break, let him know.. .says it's about 2 hours long...

Juror asks if there's any way to zoom in on Davidson's face. Judge says no.

Rolling tape. Video on big screen, just like the first day they played it.

The transcript isn't being shown under the video like it was last time... At least, not yet...

Darn I can't understand why they would want to watch all this again.

  • #398
Something interesting I missed the first times was that, when he was saying talking would do him no good, because "there was a body in my house, he also said "there was a gun"...

  • #399
Darn I can't understand why they would want to watch all this again.

Yeah, I think I'd feel better if they didn't care to, too, Julie.

Maybe they're all the way down to the fleeing charge, and needed to hear how he could easily have called this nice detective's number. ;)
