The skeletal remains of a homicide victim discovered in 1986 have been identified as 28-year-old Jerry Harrison of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Follow-up CODIS testing at UNTCHI confirmed the identity of Claiborne County John Doe as Jerry Harrison of Little Rock, Arkansas. Harrison, who was born December 20, 1957, last contacted his family in 1982 after he began traveling across the country. TBI agents need help to solve Harrison's murder. If you have information that may help to solve the murder of Jerry Harrison, specifically any knowledge about individuals Harrison may have been with before his death, please call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

''He had last contacted his family in 1982 while traveling across the country.

Anyone who may have information that may help solve the murder, specifically any knowledge of individuals Harrison may have been with before his death, is asked to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

Othram Inc. has helped successfully identify multiple cold case victims in recent years, including a woman found in Gatlinburg who had been identified for nearly 50 years. The Harrison case is one of 10 samples recently submitted to Othram by the TBI as a part of the Unidentified Human Remains Initiative.''

I think the recon looks incredibly similar. Especially considering his remains were skeletal. Thanks again Othram! Hopefully his killer(s) can be identified and brought to justice.

Rest peacefully now Jerry.

I wonder why he had no teeth at just 28. Anyway, so amazing to see such an old and little known case solved.

I'm not sure if he was actually edentulous or the teeth were lost from his skull postmortem.

yeah, maybe animal activity or the very gruesome possibility of someone trying to cover up any possible dental identification?

he doesn't look that young in the one picture we have, where he has what looks like a full set of teeth in decent condition. i wonder what happened.

the photo we have looks like an amateur photo taken in terrible lighting with a cheap camera and possibly developed on the cheap, I wouldn't take too much stock in how old he looks in it
