Mikki Dee Moody, 36, and Sean David Moody, 39, of Blevins Hollow Road, have been charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect and child endangerment.

Investigators conducted a search warrant of the house and discovered unsanitary living conditions that included wall outlets containing exposed wiring and animal and human feces on the floor, according to the report.

According to investigators, the child would be locked in the storage trunk with food.

“Information obtained during the initial investigation led to the discovery of a brown-colored storage trunk in the living room area,” said CCSO Investigator Preston White. “The trunk contained urine-soaked blankets, a pillow, half-eaten pizza, and clothing with a substance consistent with blood.”

Both Mikki and Sean Moody were booked into the Carter County Detention Center on Thursday. Mikki Moody was released after posting a $75,000 bond.

Sean David Moody, 39, has been charged with abuse of a vulnerable adult. Moody is accused of abusing a family member who he was the caregiver for.

So it sounds as if this originally began as an abuse allegation against Sean, for abusing his disabled sister, and then led to the discovery of abuse to his and Mikki's child, who also is vulnerable due to the autism and non verbal status.

They both sound like horrible people. May the sister and the child fare better in the care of others.
