Body of missing North Carolina hiker in Rhea County found | WATE 6 On Your Side


RHEA COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) – The body of a missing hiker in Rhea County has been found.

According to WTVC, Rhea County Executive George Thacker confirmed Curtis Dustin Williams’ body was found Saturday.

For 12 days numerous crews from Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and even Florida and hundreds of volunteers searched for him.

They found his body on May 22.

He was 43 years old.

"We just know that he fell and we don't know a lot of the details," Williams said.
