Details of Disappearance
Daphne disappeared from Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 6, 2019. She was abducted by her non-custodial father, John Oliver Westbrook, who lived in the 4700 block of Saint Elmo. Daphne's mother, Rhona Curtsinger, has custody of her, and John was only permitted to see her every other weekend. On the day of her disappearance, Daphne told her mother she was going to take her dog for a walk at the park with a friend, then would come home. She never came home. John, who was supposed to be moving to Colorado for work, dropped out of sight shortly after his daughter did.

On October 15, Curtsinger got a brief call from her daughter. She stated Daphne sounded strange and she believes her daughter was on speakerphone. The call was traced to a cellular phone tower in Dalton, Georgia. That evening, Daphne's car was found near the Glenn Falls Trailhead on Lookout Mountain, near her father's house. On October 17, Curtsinger got a pre-recorded video message; it was mostly black, but there was a moment showing what she believes was Daphne.

John was traced to New Mexico after Daphne's disappearance; records showed he dropped off a U-Haul in Albuquerque and shopped regularly in Santa Fe for awhile. He has has contacts in California, Colorado and Washington as well as New Mexico.

Daphne was seen in the Denver, Colorado area in November 2020, and in February 2021, John spent several weeks in the Pueblo, Colorado area. That same month, Daphne's Bible was found in a trash can outside a Trader Joe's store on west Cordova Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. They may be traveling in a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle with no license plate or windshield. They may have Daphne's two dogs, a brown and white one named named Fern and a Collie named Strawberry, with them; photos of the car and dogs are posted with this case summary. Daphne enjoys horseback riding and her father might have let her ride after her abduction.

John is an information technology expert specializing in security, block chain technology and bitcoin, and may be earning money doing freelance computer security work. His computer expertise has made it difficult for authorities to trace his and Daphne's whereabouts. He has used fifteen to twenty different email addresses and about ten different alias names, and is known to have purchased hair dye and false teeth, which suggests he and Daphne may have altered their appearances.

Prior to Daphne's abduction, her father would often give her alcohol and drugs including marijuana, mushrooms and LSD. Authorities have received information that Daphne has been kept "constantly" under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol since her abduction, and that she has expressed suicidal feelings. She is reportedly being held against her will and is unable to communicate with the outside world. Her cellular phone has been kept wrapped in aluminum foil and her computer shut off most of the time, though John has occasionally let her use the devices under his supervision.

In June 2020, a warrant was issued for John's arrest for custodial interference in connection with Daphne's disappearance. In February 2021, he was indicated for aggravated kidnapping in Daphne's case. Photos of John are posted with this case summary. His date of birth is February 22, 1979, making him 40 years old at the time of Daphne's abduction. He's described as a Caucasian male, 6'4 and 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

John and Daphne are believed to be somewhere in the western United States. Daphne's case remains unsolved. Investigators have become increasingly concerned for her safety.

Looks like he upgraded his car but I'm pretty sure it still stands out
Thing is, the red car is the one he was driving in October, in New Mexico. But, they were spotted in Fort Walton Beach on March 6 in the orange Beetle. LE seems to think they're somewhere in the Western U.S. So, did that Beetle make it to NM or Colorado or Washington undetected? o_O That is just hard for me to imagine. MOO

Tennessee investigators continue search for missing girl in New Mexico (yahoo.com)
[...]

"We know John Westbrook is likely in New Mexico and continue to focus our resources on the Santa Fe area," said Melydia Clewell, chief of staff for the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office. "He is using technology to limit the amount of information we can glean from his online footprint, so we really do need the public to help us find him."

Within the past six months, officials said, Westbrook has made multiple purchases in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas. He bought a tankless water heater at Home Depot and a car canopy at Harbor Freight in Santa Fe around December.

He also has made unique purchases at Albuquerque and Santa Fe Walmart stores, where he purchased a single banana and withdraw $100 in cash. Clewell said this may have been aggravating for other customers as he would do this with a bunch of bananas while purchasing each one at a time.

While Westbrook may be changing the appearance of his beard and hair, he stands 6-foot-4, Clewell said. He likely is driving an older model white and red station wagon.

[...]

Clewell said the District Attorney's Office in Tennessee has not received a single tip from Santa Fe and urged the public for help. Those with information were asked to contact the First Judicial District Attorney's Office at 505-428-6926 or email 1stDA

Wth?!
Seems he is trying to get as much cash as possible, is it limited to $100 per shopping?

I assume so. I've seen people do the same thing with candy bars. My guess is that in addition to the cash-back limit per transaction, they do this to avoid the ATM fee and, in his case, probably the camera. MOO

Almost everywhere has a cash back limit. Places like Walmart are typically $100 per transaction. Walgreens is absurd at $20...If you need $300, just do 3 separate transactions.

So if he's been using the orange vehicle no police officer has ran across him?

The vehicles stick out like sore thumbs.

Are there webcams facing the interstate that we can review?

What was the time stamp on the October photo?

Thank you for posting this. I don't remember seeing this article.

So, LE has not heard from anyone who may have spotted him in Santa Fe but they have evidence that he was in all of those Santa Fe locations in January and February, 2021. Geesh... MOO

I don't know if it'll matter, but I found his SoundCloud. IF it will give any insight. More power to us, right?

Snooping around John Westbrook's web footprint.

Steemit post led me to "starting https://descrypto.com with a business associate."
Descrypto.com doesn't exist, but Archive.org has their Wayback Machine and I did some looking into Descrypto for updates on the site he was talking about. In 2017 it was updated with the theme Kleo and an Admin named - Ajax. descrypto.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php Don't know if it means anything. I'll start looking for a handle called Ajax.

/u/chickenbreth was his reddit account before it was deleted. Using Reddit Search to see if I can find anything.
Mycelium, I'm not familiar with, but it's a bitcoin wallet.
/u/Chickenbreth commented 4 years ago about the usage of Mycelium as:

"You bring the phone online to download the app? Or is it possible to install over USB from an offline computer and bring the app to that computer using a thumb drive? It sounds pretty secure, mostly depending on the precautionary steps you take. Memorizing the seed sounds more like a fun challenge than a necessary step though, I lean on the side of perceiving that as more risky than coming up with an interesting way to save it on paper and building in a sort of treasure hunt for relatives in your will."

His business partner for the website was a guy by the name of Jeff Hunt.

He keeps talking about owning a Fiat. Anyone got information on this?

Edit: never mind it's a cryptocurrency.

FWIW: John Oliver Westbrook has a major online footprint on many platforms, I don't believe that he's stopped cold turkey on it.

How is he driving all over the country in these clunker cars and not getting stopped? I had to drive cars like that for several years and I got pulled over all the time back then.
