The Vanished | David McAfee missing after his iPhone detected car crash that didn't appear to happen
David McAfee, 31, is a husband and father of three children. His family has not been able to make contact with him since October 28.

From the video / article:
David McAfee, 31, of Knoxville, TN was last seen on Oct 28. He is married with 3 sons.
Family says he was working on a friend's truck the morning of Oct 28. A neighbor saw him working on the truck.
Around 2:30pm he got a ride to the BP gas station off of Asheville Hwy. Video footage shows him entering the store and purchasing cigarettes.
Wife got home from work around 5:30pm. She phoned him and he said he was still working on the truck.
At 7:30pm his wife, as his emergency contact, received 3 alerts from his IPhone saying that the crash detection software had been activated. Jefferson County dispatchers told her there were no crashes that night. She filed a missing report the next day.
About a week later, Jefferson County detectives found his phone behind Providence Church in Jefferson City. It looked like it had been thrown and they think that is probably what actived the crash detection software.

"We all try. We've made flyers and just anything that we know to do to find him," said Jason McAfee, his brother.
The search has not calmed their thoughts, and Gumm (his mother) said the search is getting more desperate. And most of all, she said that his family just wants closure.
"If you gotta check your properties, anybody out on lakes and waterways, check in the water and in the banks," said Gumm. "I'm begging for help."
Anyone with information about McAfee's location should reach out to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. The office can be reached at 865-471-6000.
McAfee's family has a search party meeting on Saturday, December 17 at 11 a.m. They will be meeting at 129 E. Dumplin Valley Road in Kodak, in the left Subway parking lot, if anyone wants to help.
