NY - Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein confidante, arrested on Sex Abuse charges, Jul 2020 #5

  • #961
I think she is obviously mentally struggling at the moment. She is not allowed to see her kids, for whatever reason. So something is going on with her mental health. imo

Agree. And all the more reason to leave her be and ignore all the opportunistic and spiteful speculation that's doing the tabloid rounds.

Thanks for your links, @SouthAussie, much appreciated. 👍

Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein's most prominent abuse survivors, dies by suicide

Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse, has died by suicide, her family said Friday.

Giuffre, 41, died in Neergabby, Australia, where she had been living for several years.

Giuffre was one of the earliest and loudest voices calling for criminal charges against Epstein and his enablers. Other Epstein abuse survivors later credited her with giving them the courage to speak out.

She also provided critical information to law enforcement that contributed to the investigation into and later the conviction of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as other investigations by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Virginia's family's media announcement ........ "It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia,"

"She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking."

"Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors,"

“In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight."

That is so sad to hear but not surprising what what was recently going on with her with the "bus crash" news. She struggled for way too long.

RIP, Virginia. 🌹

Her father Sky Roberts said that Giuffre was going through a 'messy' divorce and no longer lives with Robert, at their $1.9million beachside mansion in Perth.

Two days before the car crash, on March 22, Giuffre posted a sun-dappled picture of her children on a beach, accompanied by
an apparent desperate plea to see them.
'I miss them so very much.'

Rbm.

She was being kept from seeing her kids ????
Not good if so. :(

Rest in peace, Virginia.
Thank you for speaking out for the victims.
She, and in a way, now by default her kids as well -- are victims of J. Epstein.
Imo.
Omo.

This just popped up on my IG feed....I thought it was untrue. Then checked.

So very sad. I was worried about her after the bus crash incident....felt then that she was spiraling.
What Virginia has been through, and then losing any stability she had in her marriage....then losing that and her kids.
It's too too much.
I'm very sorry to hear this.

I was not expecting this. My heart and condolences go to her and her family. I did not know her but this hurts me deeply...

Virginia was a brave and heroic woman. A woman to be remembered with compassion and love.

Her last few months, perhaps longer, seem to have been wrought with stress and extreme sadness. It appears she had last all hope and the emotional pain was too much for her to bear. I was so hoping Virginia would receive some type of help to get through this.

This is heartbreaking news. Trauma never leaves us; it just finds a place to hide for a bit and then strikes out when we least expect it.

RIP Virginia. Your legacy will endure.

"In December 2014,
Virginia Giuffre set up the framework for her organization

'Victims Refuse Silence'

It was registered as a non-profit organization in 2015.

The objective of 'Victims Refuse Silence' is to

'help survivors surmount the shame, silence, and intimidation
typically experienced by victims of sexual abuse,
and to help others to escape becoming victims of sex trafficking'.

For her organization,
Virginia Giuffre used imagery of a blue Morpho butterfly
to symbolize

the transformation and empowerment
that occurs
when a victim becomes a survivor.

Blue is the international color of human trafficking awareness."

Accolades for Virginia are being acknowledged in our Aussie MSM.

While it is reported that police were called to the residence just before 10pm on (our) Friday night.

Friday here was Anzac Day. A Public Holiday commemorating the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who have died in all wars, conflicts and peace-keeping operations. (The day was originally selected to commemorate those who died in WW1, particularly in Gallipoli.)

Sigrid McCawley, a lawyer for dozens of Epstein abuse survivors, described Ms Guiffre as "an incredible champion for other victims".
"Her courage pushed me to fight harder, and her strength was awe-inspiring," she said.
"The world has lost an amazing human being today. Rest in peace, my sweet angel."

Ms Guiffre's representative, Dini von Mueffling, remembered her as "deeply loving, wise, and funny".
"She was a beacon to other survivors and victims. She adored her children and many animals.
"She was always more concerned with me than with herself. I will miss her beyond words. It was the privilege of a lifetime to represent her."

In court documents, she named a number of other wealthy and powerful men whom she alleged that Epstein and Maxwell had directed her to have sex with. All of the men denied her allegations and none of them were ever charged. In recent months, Giuffre had urged U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to unseal the FBI’s Epstein case files. After vowing she had the files and intended to make them public, Bondi released a binder of material that revealed no new information about the case. Giuffre expressed her disappointment on social media. “It’s disheartening to witness what feels like a dog and pony show turned political stunt. True democracy should embody freedom, yet we continue to find ourselves trapped in a system that overlooks our struggles until it’s convenient for those in power,” she said in March.

Sadly, George Carlins' words, "It's a Big Club, and You ain't in it" ring true.
RIP Virginia
