Found Deceased TN - Eleni Kassa - Didn't Pick Up Daughter From School - Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Monday was day four in the search for a missing mother.

Eleni Kassa vanished last Wednesday.

Murfreesboro police say she never picked up her daughter from school.

On Monday, police say a license plate belonging to the car she might be in was flagged in another state.

The family of 31-year-old Eleni Kassa said she was last seen by neighbors at the Arbor Brook Apartments in Murfreesboro. They said she left her keys, phone, and personal car at her apartment, which is unlike her.

Kassa’s family described her as a dedicated mom who works full-time and moved to Tennessee to live the American dream.

Kassa’s family flew to Murfreesboro worried after she didn’t pick up her 6-year-old daughter from school.

“Extremely unlike her. She is a very dedicated mother, very responsible person,” Mengistu said.

All weekend her family has been speaking with police and looking through her apartment. So far, they said the complex has no video footage to show when she left and why.

Murfreesboro Police said Kassa may be in a black Dodge Charger with a Tennessee license plate: 7L87V2. Police said the tag on the car was pinged last in Ohio, possibly by a license plate reader. Her family believes she was forced to leave by a friend.

Hmmn ... wonder who that friend is?

Police: Dead body found in Dodge Charger is the missing mother from Tennessee

Murfreesboro Police out of Tennessee has confirmed that the Dodge Charger linked to the crash in Dearborn Friday night is connected to the case of a missing mother who never showed up to pick her daughter up from school. She was reported missing ten days ago.

So, her body was in the trunk, but the driver also died in the crash, after a shootout with police? There was also a passenger in the car who didn't die.

I wonder if the driver was the same person named as the defendant in the court records linked above.

The article I posted identifies the driver as "they" so there's no way to know if it was even a male or female. I suppose a logical conclusion would be male just based on nothing more than my own opinion of the individual who typically are involved in police chases and shootouts.

DEARBORN, Mich. (FOX 2) - A man is dead and a person's body was found in the car's trunk following a Dearborn police pursuit that ended in a crash.

One passenger was also transported to a local hospital with injuries from the crash.

When officers opened the trunk, they found a person's body inside, officials said. One passenger was also transported to a local hospital with injuries from the crash.

Maybe the passenger was the defendant?

My thoughts are with Eleni's family

Dearborn — Police have identified one of the women involved in a Sunday shootout with police on the Detroit-Dearborn border and the human remains found in the back of the car, which has been linked to a Tennessee mother who was reported missing 10 days ago.

Eleni Kassa, a 31-year-old woman missing from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was identified Monday evening by Michigan State Police on Twitter as the victim found in the trunk of a vehicle police were chasing Sunday. The deceased driver and suspect in the case was identified as Dominique Hardwick, 36, of Lebanon, Tennessee. Police did not identify the 34-year-old woman riding in the front passenger seat. She was detained and taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries.

"Autopsy results for Hardwick are consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound," police wrote in the Twitter post. "The circumstances surrounding Eleni’s death have not been determined. Detectives are still interviewing witnesses, including the front seat passenger in the crash. "

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. Sunday near the Dearborn-Detroit border. Dearborn police were chasing a 2020 black Dodge SRT that was reported out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to be involved in an endangered missing person's case.

Same name that appears in her court documents… How sad. May you Rest In Peace, Eleni.

I had just read on here last week about Eleni missing and then saw this on the local news today.
I feel so sad for her family and her child.

Found dead in a Trunk ?? Dear Lord-- what the heck happened ??

Hopefully the other passenger can offer some assistance into what transpired, leading up to this tragic ending for Eleni
