2 people arrested and charged in connection with the disappearance of 15-month-old from Tennessee
[...]

In a Friday news conference, Sullivan County Sheriff Jeff Cassidy said that while Evelyn’s mother is cooperating with law enforcement, she has given conflicting stories.

Evelyn’s mother lives in Sullivan County and her father is an active duty military member and is stationed in Louisiana, Sullivan said. Her mother has sole custody, he said.

Evelyn was reported missing to the Tennessee Department of Children Services by her grandfather, who said he hadn’t seen her in months, the sheriff added.

Love you, but can't agree with you one this one, Belly. If Evelyn WAS being left with Angel, that was an extremely dangerous care taking situation to begin with, given her history with children and drugs. And if Maggie's account is even slightly accurate, she basically just abandoned this child to Angel since early December.

It's like giving a can of gasoline and a book of matches to an arsonist, and 2 month later you find your house is burned to the ground and you're shocked ? C'mon.
I agree. If she did actually do that, she’s somewhat culpable in whatever happened. IMO of course.

Has anyone posted AB’s prior criminal history in here? Is that allowed?

No. AB has not been named by LE as a POI or suspect. MOO

Thanks for that. She’s pretty well spoken and seems intelligent. Bizarre case.

Yea, I wasn’t thinking clearly. Her arrest hasn’t resulted in any charges related to EB missing. Thanks.

Yes, to your or my adult minds that makes sense.
But this is a young woman who has been surrounded by this her entire life. It's her norm. We also don't know Maggie's own living situation or finances. She and Evelyn could have depended on one or more of these characters for food and shelter. OR she could have been providing for Evelyn plus (mom? siblings?) and had to work constantly. Sometimes you have to do the best you can and you don't have options aside "people with a history".
Also, to be clear Maggie hasn't said that she left Evelyn with Angel.
I'm not sold that is the case.

Angela Boswell and William McCloud arrested after car sought in AMBER Alert found in N.C.

The Wilkes County Sheriff's Office charged William McCloud and Angela Boswell with an out-of-state fugitive warrant for outstanding charges that were open in the state of Tennessee.

McCloud has been charged with theft over $2,500, according to a State of North Carolina arrest warrant. Boswell was charged with a probation violation.

Both McCloud and Boswell are being held without bond.

[...]

So is the car the theft of over $2,500 or would that be a different charge?

Do we know that the reporting grandfather was indeed the maternal grandfather?

Also, HW said they were "on and off" in his interview. Not "we went out on a few dates"....MOO but in my mind, a few dates means they met, went out a few times, that was that. "On and off" leads me to think it was more serious, they'd fight and be "off" and make up and be "on"....jmo

I agree. If she did actually do that, she’s somewhat culpable in whatever happened. IMO of course.

In my opinion, she is completely culpable. She alone was this child's LEGAL custodial parent, and she abandoned this child (completely, for over 2 months !) to the care of someone so unstable that she allegedly feared to report the child missing for fear of what this "caretaker" might do once "things went down" ?

I do NOT care if she's young...I do not care if she came from a horrid family situation ( welcome to the rest of us)...I don't care if she was afraid for her own safety...I absolutely DO NOT CARE. She had a moral and legal obligation to protect this child and she made the choice to abandon her. There is no excuse for that, and honestly, yes , any attempts to defend this girl pisses me TF off. They just do, and I own it. (Not that you ARE defending her...I'm just venting off of your post.)

(No offense intended to anyone.)

But she’s been arrested in connection with the disappearance. Should we get clarification on that?

The maternal grandfather said he was the one who called family services. There is a video that was linked. It’s the same interview where he said he was putting up $10k and his son was putting up $10k for the reward.

Grandfather of missing Evelyn said he called DCS, hasn’t seen her since Thanksgiving

I'm wondering if the woman with her WAS her attorney or someone from the courts, because you can not bring a pocketbook beyond that scanner area. At least, regular people can't. Trust me, I've had to make that long walk back to the car on a few occasions because I forgot the "pocketbook rule ".

is that a local court rule from your/her area? Because my court allows you to bring anything that isn’t dangerous or liquid. They just search your bag or x-ray it. I had the joy (sarcasm) of being in both superior court and federal court this week as a witness in two cases and everyone had bags with them.

Are any searches being conducted for Evelyn?

2 months is a long, long time for a toddler.
Babies that age can even forget who their parent is !

Where could the public search? I think the police are searching known associates of these people. If they can. It could be super hard.

All the love. BUT, she hasn't been named a POI and we ARE a victim friendly forum.

We do not know near enough to know that she knowingly left Evelyn with someone unstable. We do not know that she abandoned her.

Heck, for all we know she had PPD or a drug issue herself and thought she was doing the responsible thing by letting someone else care for Evelyn while she got help! If that were the case and she had kept Evelyn people would be saying she was irresponsible and should have had a family member care for her. Moms just can't win.

We know that once the child was in the care of someone that she feared what they might do. It could be that person seemed or was stable and it changed. She could have been fighting like heck within the family to get Evelyn back prior to her dad calling DCF.

There is WAY too much unknown to start pointing fingers at anyone IMO

Idk, it could go either way. Her charges are related to the car LE were looking for but I’ve not seen anything saying why they were looking for the car. Ie it was the last car EB was seen in.

She wasn't arrested in connection to Evelyn's disappearance.
She was arrested for auto theft and wanted for questioning.
