I don't think she's lying. And she hasn't been named a POI.
IMO I'd be afraid of my family members if I were MB as well.

Knew who HAD her? So....that person doesn't have her anymore? Odd she wouldn't name them, if that were the truth. If she gave names privately to LE, they or CPS or TBI or FBI would have headed over unannounced to that person's place to see/confirm Evelyn was there. That person wouldn't have known to "take off" unless mom were to have tipped them off that authorities were coming. Or is this the newest story she is telling? I was assuming that this was what she ORIGINALLY told LE, prior to the Amber Alert going out?

I don't know why I'm bothering trying to make sense of this info. According to police, most of what she claims is complete hogwash anyway.

I missed it too! But I finally found time to watch Sheriff Cassidy‘s press conference and it is very clear he doesn’t believe anything MB is saying.

I wonder if this is the story the Sheriff was referring to at the press conference this morning. He didn't want to address to the public some of MB's claims because they were full of inconsistencies and lies (my wording not his)

The OP's husband did not directly quote the interview so I would not put too much weight into the word "had". He was just paraphrasing.

I just caught a clip of her interview on the news, and she was smiling and saying " Yeah, I should have reported her missing right away ". Smiling and acting like this was all no big deal.

Make of that whatever you like.

She also said she knows who has her but doesn't want to say.

Reporter : "She says she knows who took Evelyn but she wouldn't name names. Boswell claims that person was watching Evelyn while she was at work. She also says the last time she saw her daughter was in December. So I asked her, WHY it took so long to report the little girl missing..."

MB: "Well the reason I didn't report or anything is because I knew the person that had her and I didn't want them to run away with her. As soon as they thought anything was going on they just kind of ... vanished. So I'm just worried about where they are at... what they are doing with her at this point."

Reporter: "Bosewell says that she is confident that the person will be found and that Evelyn will be returned safely. Hear what else she told me, coming up on NEWS 5 at 5:30 "

Where are you baby Evelyn?

MOO some options I'm mulling over:

1) Someone who knows Evelyn hurt her accidentally (child abuse that went too far - not that any child abuse isn't too much but I digress) and then panicked and disposed of body. That person then went along trying to act normal for as long as possible until caught which is where we are now. It's possible only that one person knows where Evelyn is and that person might never talk /admit to what they did.

2) Same as #1 but it was done on purpose. The person started dating someone new and the person wanted a fresh start without a baby.

3) Same as #2 but gave or sold Evelyn away. This seems far fetched.

4) Someone known to mother took Evelyn and threatened mother with something so bad that mother didn't say anything or try to get Evelyn back. The threat continues to this day forcing mother to lie to police. Seems far fetched also.

5) Same as #4 but a stranger. Seems far fetched.

Reviewing these options it's MOO that scenario 1 or 2 is most likely.

I just listened to a very short part of the interview with MB. She definitley says she knows who has Evelyn and that person should bring her back. This was on live news broadcast at wcyb so I have no link.Hopefully it will be on the site soon. More on the news at 6:00 est., so in 20 minutes from now.
