I have to believe that MB has had so much instability in her life that a lot of this is “normal” to her. Cops, lies, someone in your family being gone... just overall shadiness. This may be why she seems so flippant. Some of this really is “just another day” for her. As far as the obsession goes, I would probably try to live in a dream, too if my parents were both criminals who didn’t care at all about me or anyone else. Honestly, when I watched the interview, I did not immediately think of MB as a “killer.” I think it is much more likely that severe neglect or an accident happened and she is trying to cover it up. This is different from the Anthony case. The Anthony family had resources to lawyer up and a sense of duty to their child. MB’s family will likely throw her under the bus if they know anything. That said, I hope that little Evelyn is alive and well - only the victim of no one really caring where she is (which is terrible, but 1,000 times better than the alternative).

By the way, am I the only one who cringed when MB described “leaving snacks on the floor” for Evelyn? I have heard this description before when I managed drug treatment centers. Several mothers described how they left food out in all kinds of places so the child would have access to food when they passed out from using drugs. I don’t automatically assume this means MB is a drug user, but it has been my experience that “leaving snacks on the floor” is usually described by extremely neglectful mothers. All MOO

I agree with all of this. I raised an eyebrow over leaving snacks on the floor as well. Evelyn still seems quite young and needs to be supervised while eating to make sure she doesn’t choke, imo. Unless the mom was letting her have a little snack while watching TV and mom was supervising? Idk.

Any chance Evelyn’s FATHER’s side of the family has her? As in...maybe MB knows they have her to protect her from her crazy family/shady characters? And this is why she says she knows who has her but won’t say? It’s the best thing I can think of.

Since she told the ex bf the baby had a broken bone when left w/someone in her family (right?) maybe she let the father’s side take her? Not sure why they wouldn’t all tell LE at this point, but hoping maybe she knows Evelyn is better off w/them & is scared of her family so is lying? No idea.....QUO

Interesting thought! Have we heard anything from Evelyn's Dad's family at all?

FWIW, in regards to the trip to juvenile court...

MB says in her interview that her grandmother (mother of AB) is always very supportive of her. And that if she had known about the court date, she would have been there. The reporter asks if she didn't tell her about the court date, and MB starts some mumbly word salad, along the lines of things being discussed prior to court that she couldn't share with her grandma. (Which, of course reeks of bs, given that this mystery person who supposedly had Evelyn was MBs grandma's own daughter!)

Anyways, huge grains of salt aside, considering the source, this comment led me to believe that court was definitely Evelyn related.

Oh! And from that interview we now know where the clothes Evelyn was last seen in came from... MB. Evelyn was apparently seen in them the last time MB saw her, which was in December, around Christmas.

I wonder who the babysitter is that LE believes saw her on Dec 10th or 11th?

The timing of the call to CPS, the court date, the AMBER alert are not a coincidence. I'm still sticking with Evelyn is a pawn in a sick game some adults are playing.

To be fair, we dont know MB told HW anything about Evelyn breaking her arm. We've only heard that from HW.

I don't trust any of them right now :(

Is it ABs "you'll regret it" comment to TB that makes you think that?

It is the semantics of it that bother me. If you listen, it is like she has a moment where she reversed course... like she realizes “I just said I leave food on the floor.” 13 years managing methadone clinics, I have seen this presented the same way dozens of times. Now, it may be learned behavior from how MB was raised versus behavior from necessity, but most parents describe, “having a snack on the rug” or “when he/she crawled around with their snack cup.” “I would leave food on the floor” has been a very specific description given by mothers who were extremely neglectful in my experience. They do it so the child can survive without any adult assistance for a longer period of time.

It is not just one comment or event. I can't wait to see who owns the BMW though.

Same. It was a shock when I moved up here. Meth is all over the damn place. Meth heads literally look like the walking dead, it scared the hell out of me.

they don't look like they just stepped off the set of Deliverance or anything. JMO

Awful lot of face tattoos in that corner of the world....

MB told bf Hunter that Evelyn's arm was broke while visiting EP who was home on leave.
Oh ok I wasn’t sure b/c the way he said it wasn’t super clear to me.

I agree- I didn’t mean to seem questioning you. Just myself if I heard the interview correctly. I work in a field where I am in contact with addicts and alcoholics. Addiction tears through families. Not just the current living relatives but it can affect generations. I believe this is what we are seeing here. Her attempting to be “quick on her feet” with half truths and rapid, hollow explanations fits this narrative as well. Moo.

I don’t know of anyone leaving snacks on the floor for their children, much less at that age. And she totally sidestepped the last day spent with Evelyn. The reporter asked if it was a good day and she replied with what she was wearing. Nothing makes sense.

Exactly. When the reporter asked what she was like, Megan said “she is sweet, she likes sweet potatoes and baby shark.” First of all- that’s not really describing what Evelyn is like. And second, that’s every toddler ever.

When was the last time MB (mother) saw Evelyn?
When was the last time EP (father) saw Evelyn?
When was the last time AB (g-mother) saw Evelyn?

Any combination of the above with truth would most likely change this entire story and provide an outcome.

Good questions. I would add more questioning of TB (g father). I know he reported her missing, but given history of assaulting AB’s boyfriend (McCloud or some other guy prior to him??), I don’t feel he’s the most trustworthy fella.

The timing of the call to CPS, the court date, the AMBER alert are not a coincidence. I'm still sticking with Evelyn is a pawn in a sick game some adults are playing.

Totally agree. I’m not sure MB isn’t also a pawn here. Maybe she’s a drug user (haven’t seen anything reported or verified on this) and a little dense. She’s certainly young and very immature.

How do we know that? I mean "hey this on and off girl I was dating and wasn't that serious and her daughter is miss is also connected to my car being stolen, whoa her mom took it" sounds pretty um.......well anyway.
