*ETA: These are from prior arrests, not current mugshots…thanks, everyone!

I don't like that look in AB's eyes at all.

I am so confused. Bristol is in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Why are people acting like it's such a surprise anything would be happening in Bristol?
I think part of Bristol lies in Virginia, like St. Louis lies in two states, but there is definitely a Bristol, TN in Sullivan County. I was just there like 10 months ago.

It is COMPLETELY normal for communities close to borders to affiliate with communities on the other side of the border. For example in southern Minnesota, there is a lot of back and forth over the Iowa border. My mom grew up 12 miles from the Iowa border and spent just as much time sipping root beer from the A and W stand in Mason City, IA as she did in her own county.

'Persons of interest' in Evelyn Boswell disappearance now charged with theft

Feb 22, 2020
STAFF REPORT • TODAY AT 7:24 PM

Angela Boswell, 42, of Kingsport, and William McCloud, 33, of Elizabethton, were arrested Friday in Wilkes County, N.C. after being stopped in a 2007 BMW that was in the process of being purchased by Evelyn’s mother, Megan Boswell.

Sheriff Jeff Cassidy described the occupants of the BMW as persons of interest, although not necessarily people who have the child. They were being questioned following their arrest.

]..]

Evelyn’s grandfather reported Evelyn missing earlier this week. The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services received the initial report and immediately referred it to the sheriff’s office on Tuesday.

]..]

On Wednesday an Amber Alert was issued for Evelyn by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, although the child may have been missing since December.

]..]

According to a press release issued Saturday evening by the SCSO, Angela Boswell (Evelyn’s grandmother) and William McCloud had been charged with theft over $2,500.

As of Saturday night they were in the Wilkes County Jail awaiting extradition to the Sullivan County Jail

]..]

The 2007 BMW had been reported stolen by its owner.

At the time Megan Boswell was in the process of purchasing the vehicle from the owner for her mother, Angela Boswell.

]..]

For leaving in the vehicle and not returning it to the owner, warrants were issued in Bristol General Sessions Court for William McCloud and Angela Boswell on one count each of theft over $2,500.

]..]

Upon William McCloud and Angela Boswell being located, SCSO and TBI investigators traveled to Wilkes County to interview them regarding the Evelyn Boswell case. No new information has been released about what police learned from those interviews.

]..]

TBI spokesperson Leslie Earhart stated in a press release Saturday that since issuing the AMBER Alert just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, authorities have received more than 300 leads.

None, however, has produced any credible sightings regarding the whereabouts of Evelyn Boswell.

I just watched the press conference with the sheriff. I don't know much about Evelyn's father other than he's in Louisiana and in the military. The sheriff said he's been cooperating. Has he been a factor in Evelyn's life? Had he been aware that she had been missing for two months? Did the parents have a long-time relationship? Does he know the grandparents at all?

I don't think he's a suspect at all. I'm just trying to put the puzzle pieces together as to why MB gave her baby to someone, apparently her mother, and yet was afraid to ask questions about her baby because then her baby would vanish. Mother or not, that's not someone who should have physical control of your toddler. Why didn't she give Evelyn to EP if she couldn't or wouldn't care for her?

Wonder if these are from their most recent arrests or if they're older mugshots.

I don't like that look in AB's eyes at all.

JMO.

These are not from their recent arrest. WM has a face tattoo now. The new mugshots are all over the media.

EP found out Evelyn was missing when everyone else did. He enlisted in the army after high school and left for active duty before Evelyn was even born. He’s been in LA and on deployment since.

Not at all. We only drive BMWs and just bought our teen daughter one for 4K and it is in pristine condition. It is a 2010. Theirs was a 2007 so it is entirely possible. One reason we never buy cars new, they depreciate like crazy.
Many/most BMWs are manufactured in S.C. these days. They are a dime a dozen so I’m not surprised to see one for sale cheap. Around here, we refer to them as Bubba Makes Wheels. I’m a native and it’s a joke so please don’t tell me I’m insensitive.

To issue an [AMBER] alert in Tennessee, the child must be 17 years old or younger, there must be an accurate description of the child, suspect or vehicle and law enforcement must believe an abduction has occurred or that the child is in imminent danger of bodily injury or death.

Investigators continue search for missing 15-month-old Blountville girl

Love ya Gordian buttttt we don’t know any of this as fact. As I keep saying. We don’t know she handed Evelyn off. We don’t know she was ever denied access. We don’t know any of it.

All these characters are lying to hide something. Whether it’s to hide Evelyn or to hide what happened to her I don’t know but I think all their stories are just that.

whaaattt? It’s fact based on what the mom said! She said she left the child with someone to go to work. Given the story the mom is telling, all of this is true. She doesn’t have the kid, and hasn’t in 2 months. That is her own fault because she failed her child by not reporting her missing immediately.

MB may be a victim in this case, but she can also be responsible for her missing baby. She failed that baby.

And to that, I would add that even TB and TBjr hadn't seen this child since Thanksgiving, so how involved in her life could these 2 have been ?
Sadly, I think it has been more to getting back at his ex wife than finding his granddaughter. MOO

right now the Spartenburg plant only makes SUV models X3 - X7

BBM. It isn't a crime to leave your child with a caregiver in order for the parent to go to work. It is the choices the caregiver made which are to blame. If MB had reported the missing baby immediately to LE would not guarantee the child would be found alive and unharmed.

Thank you. So I assume he's never even seen Evelyn? This poor baby. I hope she's found alive and well, and then who would have custody of her? It normally would go to the other parent, but in these circumstances, who knows?
I guess the time for that will be later, as long as God willing she is returned safely.

That may be true.

There are times where the intent behind a person's actions is much less important than the affect their actions have in certain situations, though.

EB's GF may in fact have had a negative motivation for his actions, but the net effect was positive, i.e., LE became aware that EB was missing and began searching for her.

We don't know what his motive was…we only know that his actions resulted in authorities being alerted to the fact that a little baby is missing.

I'm just glad somebody did the right thing, even if they did it for the wrong reasons.

A lot of people in this situation appear to have done all the wrong things.
For what are the worst possible reasons.

Two fugitives questioned in connection to disappearance of Tennessee toddler Evelyn Boswell

Updated 7:07 p.m. ET Feb. 22, 2020

]..]

Police also said the missing girl's mother was involved in a car sale that allegedly devolved into a vehicle theft.

William McCloud, 33, and Angela Boswell, 42, who is the missing girl's grandmother, were arrested Friday on fugitive warrants and will be prepared for extradition back to Tennessee, said Lt. Logan Kerr, a spokesman for sheriff's department of Wilkes County, North Carolina.

McCloud's relationship with Evelyn Boswell is not known.

]..]

Both McCloud and Angela Boswell will remain in a Wilkes Country jail until an extradition hearing, after which they are expected to be transferred to Tennessee.

Neither McCloud nor Angela Boswell have been arrested or charged with any crimes related to Evelyn Boswell's disappearance at this time. Instead, they were arrested for allegedly driving a stolen BMW from a seemingly unrelated case.

]..]

Investigators have previously said they were interested in finding the BMW without revealing that it was stolen.

]..]

Their first court appearance is set for Monday.

Seabolt said [Angela] Boswell was also being held on a probation violation for theft out of the Kingsport General Sessions Court.

He has met Evelyn but due to the fact he's been active duty and subsequently on deployment since well before she was born right up until today, their meeting(s) was very brief you could say.
