I don't think so. If something happened to EB and she was wrapped in a blanket and transported somewhere, and if whoever did it returned with that blanket still in their car, middle of the night, possibly high, I could totally imagine them wanting to get a piece of evidence out of the car, thinking, "I'm not going to bring it inside the house in case the police search the house," not having the time or energy to go out again at that point, and thinking, "They'll never look under the house." It would call more attention if they burned the blanket (or whatever it was) somewhere and were seen, than just being under their own house in the middle of the night, where they could just say they were checking on a pipe if a neighbor happened to see them.
And we have had so much rain it may have been difficult to burn anything outside.

I think we should also consider that this is a small town police force that doesn’t necessarily have the resources and experience that bigger cities may have. JMO.

But they do have the assistance of the FBI, so that's good!

Really? If they found a blanket in a hole they would have to tape it all off as a crime scene? They couldn't just take it with them back to the lab to test for DNA after taking photos?

No, if they have no reason to believe a crime occurred there OR their warrant was limited to something specific, they would not have needed to tape off the area. They’d do exactly as you said.

I think we can assume they didn’t find blood seeping through the floor-boards or a body because then they would have had probable cause for a much greater search and they likely would have taped everything off to preserve evidence.

But, TBI and FBI are both involved in this case so I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that these resources would be supplied.

I agree looks like a changing table pad??? If it was insulation would it show chemicals from drugs if there were any in the home

Depends what the warrant was for How specific the lead and the evidence lined up is, we know who a previous tenant was, we know who owns the overall property. Many LE details we don’t have...........

Sounds like a very specific search warrant.

The current resident did say that they walked through the inside of the trailer though. So maybe a specific search warrant and maybe they just don’t think much is there?

It just boggles the mind to think that they would have buried something under a house that’s directly connected to EB. They may not be the brightest bulbs in the box, but that just seems even beneath their level of stupidity.

I tend to think that picture with the item looks like insulation, they might be testing it for some type of fluids, etc. The hole in the ground is what really has piqued my interest - a stash of some sort?

Sometimes people have to hide things "just for now" because they have no way to hide something in a better, more secure way at the moment... fully planning to do a better job later. Sometimes later never comes... like, if your grandfather boots you out of the trailer you're living in or whatever... and someone else moves in and you can't be seen crawling around under what's now their place to live.

The hole under the porch could have been MB's brother's stash, if he ever lived there, and that's why MB knew about it, imo.

Also... the panel was already removed from that opening in the trailer. I thought I noticed more places where paneling was removed along the lower portion of the trailer. If so, I wonder what that was all about. But, really it's probably neither here nor there when it comes to finding Evelyn. Just curious.

Perhaps and not discounting that at all, but around here it’s not uncommon to see people burning or having campfires or fire pits year round. It just doesn’t seem to follow that they’ve been able to keep this entire mess hidden and completely convoluted for as long as they have yet still leave a (possibly) important piece of evidence behind, haphazardly hidden on property that they lived on and easily linked back.

Maybe I’m giving them too much credit and that’s probably likely.

I guess if TB jr kicks out the tenant, drags the trailer to the dump and paves over the whole spot this week, we will know something happened there.

I assumed if TBI and FBI are involved, they’ve got all the resources they need for a high profile case like this. I don’t really know what kind of support agencies like that provide though, especially on a day-to-day basis, so maybe you’re right.

Wow, that's warm compared to where I live. My last home wasn't insulated very well and even when it was in the single digits for days the pipes never froze.
My daughter has a friend who lives in a mobil home and I think they have some kind of insulation tape on the pipes themselves. They are basically exposed to the elements with nothing but vinyl around the bottom of the house.

Either way I can't imagine LE would leave the pipes in danger of freezing. I don't think they took the insulation as evidence, anyway. Jmo

To add on to your “later never comes” suggestion, MB doesn’t seem fully in tune with reality so stashing something to get rid of later and then never dealing with it, definitely seems like something she’d do, IMO.

Just pretend the problem doesn’t exist until you’re arrested.

Were your pipes next to exterior walls? It’s going to be 26° tomorrow night in Eastern NC, and we’ll have to keep the heat on higher than usual and wrap the pipes under the bathroom sink and in the kitchen with towels, and leave the cabinets open and the taps running on a drip so they won’t freeze. The master bath and the kitchen sink are both on exterior walls. Our house was built on a slab, which is standard here. I’m a California girl so this is all new to me!

Maybe I misunderstood, but Boone lake is next to the trailer park owned by the boswells AND land owned by AG’s grandmother?? What are the odds of that????
@Bsc87bsc I'm confused. who is AG?
