Were your pipes next to exterior walls? It’s going to be 26° tomorrow night in Eastern NC, and we’ll have to keep the heat on higher than usual and wrap the pipes under the bathroom sink and in the kitchen with towels, and leave the cabinets open and the taps running on a drip so they won’t freeze. The master bath and the kitchen sink are both on exterior walls. Our house was built on a slab, which is standard here. I’m a California girl so this is all knew to me!

Haha! Same! SW FL gal here. We did have out pipes freeze once this winter in the Tri-Cities area. It shows us down to 23 degrees tonight but we're at a little higher elevation.

If it truly is the same trailer, the current residents have been there since “early December” according to the person they interviewed after the search today. That person believed that MB and EB were living in the trailer before them.

I wonder if the person living there was like "Hmm. Should probably look around" and noticed the panel and/or freshly dug and called it in. That seems more logical vs someone from the family turning it in. I think if it was drugs or anything major we'd have seen crime scene.

Also, kind of wonder if it wasn't a pillow shoved into an animal hole. I've been known to do that sort of thing to try and keep critters out of our old farmhouse foundation and shed especially until the weather breaks and I can properly address it. I just don't think it's major.

To add on to your “later never comes” suggestion, MB doesn’t seem fully in tune with reality so stashing something to get rid of later and then never dealing with it, definitely seems like something she’d do, IMO.

Just pretend the problem doesn’t exist until you’re arrested.

Agree. "Later never came" for Caylee Anthony who was just down the street from the family home and I'm sure, after the big date, Casey intended to do a better job of hiding the body... and then after the night club.. and then tomorrow and tomorrow. I'm thinking the same sort of mind set.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. — Angela Boswell, the grandmother of missing 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell, bonded out of jail Friday evening.

Boswell was arrested last week in Wilkes County, North Carolina after authorities reportedly found her and William McCloud in a silver BMW that the TBI and Sullivan County Sheriff's Office were looking for in the Amber Alert investigation.

Boswell and McCloud were charged with one count of theft over $2,500. They were both brought back to Sullivan County on outstanding warrants.

Boswell must wear an ankle monitor as a condition of her bond, which was set at $1,000.

I wonder... can an ankle monitor be fiddled with so it can not only show if someone leaves the area but traces their movement within the area they are allowed to roam in? Like a sort of double duty GPS device? I wouldn't trust her too much.

Which begs the question - who is funding her and who is vouching for her on the bond? She’s obviously not working, supposedly was out of money when they went begging for money to get home.

Prepare for a media circus though. And I suspect more than a few SCSO deputies are going to be getting overtime pay just ensuring their safety. There are a lot of ticked off people in this community and the frustration is palpable. Don’t want to see people drop to their level and complicate things even more for the investigators. MOO...

I can’t decide if it’s her smarter for her to talk or to not talk. I’d typically say just stay quiet, but her daughter is literally telling everyone that she stole her baby and gave her to some random person in a camper in Mendota.

I have no conclusion here, just that I don’t understand the family dynamics and I feel really bad that EB was born into this.

Well she wasn’t talking before the 19th, probably not good to start now. But she is MB’s mom so anything is possible.
