I wonder if the babysitter that used to keep Evelyn ever noticed anything that she could tell LE such as bruising, lethargy, huge appetite, showing up in her care wearing the same clothing day after day.. anything could be seen as neglect. Have we ever heard from or seen the babysitter? I am curious is LE has her remaining silent right now.

Yes, I believe that's true. She can still be charged with other crimes related to Evelyn's disappearance. Imo

Double jeopardy only applies to the same act. So if LE charges someone with murder related to a death, and the person is found not guilty at trial, they can’t be charged with murder again if new evidence comes up.

It also comes up where if someone is charged with manslaughter for causing a victim’s death, pleads guilty, and is sentenced to 5 years in prison - if later on LE finds new evidence that would support charging the person with murder, the person can’t be charged because it’s the same act (death of the same victim).

I agree completely, with all of the above. I had to take a break from this over the weekend. I was hoping for an update this morning, but it looks like just more of the same runaround.

I wish that she had more time alone in that cell before this appearance and her ability to ask for an attorney. I just wish she would break... just let it out.

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office said they will continue to share updates in the search for Evelyn Boswell that are not related to documents sealed by a grand jury, and they pleaded with the public to stop sharing false information.

"Many of the rumors being circulated have been sent to us time after time during this investigation. On Saturday, I fielded calls regarding a post that had been made over the weekend in a Facebook group stating Evelyn had been found. Obviously, we will communicate any major development to the media, and it won’t come from a Facebook group in Oregon," said Captain Andy Seabolt.

As of Monday morning, Seabolt said there have been no new developments in the case. He announced Sunday that documents related to the case had been sealed.

“The court documents pertaining to the case (search warrants, etc.) are sealed per an order from Judge Jim Goodwin,” Seabolt said. “We cannot speak regarding any evidence that may have been collected.”
