Waived her preliminary hearing, bond remains at 25,000

I just watched the reporter from WCYB recap. Please forgive my ignorance, but what would be a reason that she waived her preliminary hearing and the case will be bound over to criminal court?

I’m wondering if she’s expecting a jury and thinks she can sway them?

Who in the world agreed to let her stay with them? Or is she just making assumptions/making up stories in order to have any sort of address to put on the paperwork for court?

Whoever it is, hope they dont have kids......

Basically he said the bond is fitting for the crime and she has a hold on her in the other court (aka juvenile court) so he left it at 25000. The thing I found interesting was when the lawyer strokes said no prior criminal history the judge said something about the other court situation. She has no support but this new address is a support person who agreed she could stay there and not somewhere she has been before as those wont allow her back.

It sounded like they said she basically has no where to go stay.

I thought I heard them say that she can not return to where she had been living, and the address she gave is not a residence she can go to.

A judge denied the request to reduce the $25,000 bond of Megan Boswell, the mother of missing 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell Monday afternoon in Bristol, Tennessee.

Boswell was appointed an attorney in court. Boswell waived her preliminary hearing.

This is why I would be a bad prosecutor.

I would have stood up and said "She claims to 'Not Know' where her baby is. And won't stop making up stories about how she 'Doesn't Know'.
I request an increase to $500k, and a water and Wonder Bread diet until she tells us where Evelyn is. Because Screw Her, is why."

Ping, I have to politely disagree. I have a legal address, at which I am registered as living. I'm guessing that MB's legal address was not the one she provided, and a place at which she was temporarily residing, but not where legal documents, etc., would be mailed to her. JMO.

I am sure jury selection will be tough in any case against her. She has talked so much and her family reputation on top of that. What a mess... And in the middle of their chaos, beautiful innocent EVELYN... ugh
