I think TBSr’s attitude changed once the media and SM repeatedly reran and discussed his 2012 conviction. If he truly did report EB missing and was the only one worried about her, I could see getting upset when the media/SM turns on him for something unrelated (and not even domestic) from 8 years ago. She said "don't trespass" ?!?!?!

The only acceptable tie-in for that, to me, would be if it's an overwhelming county tendency that people shoot trespassers first and ask questions later.

Otherwise, who cares where somebody goes when YOUR baby's life and safety is at stake?!?
Yes, she made that comment during one of her interviews. She was talking about what people should do if they see EB. Something about running up to her and grabbing her... or maybe she said "go get her" ... something to that affect. As far as the "trespass" comment, that was part of her advice to people who want to search for EB.

It stuck in my mind because it was odd. Why say "...just don't trespass or anything...", or whatever her exact words were. Exact words are difficult when replaying her interviews in my mind.

Side Note: I live in East TN and know many homeowners who bare arms. None of whom would shoot first and ask questions later... unless someone was actively attempting to gain entry to their home by force.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation working around the clock to find missing toddler
[...]

An extraordinary amount of people are working the case, the TBI, is investigating alongside the FBI, and the Sullivan County sheriffs department, hundreds of hours have gone into the investigation, focusing all their effort on finding the little girl.

TBI says, there are at least thirty people working the case at any given time, at TBI headquarters and in the field as well. TBI intelligence analysts, are working around the clock, handling calls coming into the 1-800-TBI-find, tip line number, and through email as well. TBI says, they review every tip received, agents are in the field tracking down credible information.

I'll also add that many of us who own large property parcels employ security cameras. The reasons for that can, and do , vary...trespassing, illegal hunting, property theft , keeping an eye out for bears, coyotes, foxes, in order to protect livestock, etc.

Just throwing that out there.

Over on SM TB’s significant other is asking for info about a video that was deleted by reporter. IMO, I really believe they are trying to help after reading that FB post.

Or trying to shift the focus onto HW.

There’s no love between MB and her mother. What mom would not immediately get someone to drive her to where EB is believed to be? Or go straight to law-enforcement and tell them that your mother has abducted your child — immediately after it happened? She knows that AB cannot be trusted.

MB may have some feelings for EB but it doesn’t appear that she loves her, or ever really bonded with her.

Even if a little body is found they will likely spin the “silver trailer” story.

If no one talks they will all walk

JMO

Mostly in complete agreement.

As to your first point, absolutely. If AB was going to “resolve this situation” with her granddaughter, why hasn’t she done it???

And your last point - that’s my big fear with this case and I’ve said it all along. If no one talks and they don’t find a body, there will be no justice for sweet Evelyn.

I can’t believe this was the perfect crime, where they did everything right, crossed all their t’s and dotted all their i’s, disposed of every bit of evidence and left not a single trace behind. There’s no way this crime was well planned and thought through. If they get by with this by chance and dumb luck I’ll be so frustrated. MB seems to self sabotage though, I think she’ll end up being her own worse enemy and might just crack.

Yes, that’s very true too. My mind hurts trying to put all this together.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying that HW shouldn't be looked at. But I also think the B family doesn't want LE sniffing around in their dirty underwear either. It cramps their "style", imo.

I can't even with all of this. I am so, so, angry about this case.

I may completely eat my hat, but I'm just gonna go out there on a limb and say it. IMO, MB, AB, and WM are *NOT* the only ones involved. In fact, it actually wouldn't surprise me if some of them weren't involved. I understand that many of you may completely disagree and I could 1,000% be wrong. Happy to admit it if I am, but I think there are other players that have been overlooked, at least to the public, thus far. Time will tell, I suppose.

there are still places in Western North Carolina where strangers would be in danger if they trespassed. Most people know better, especially if it is a larger tract of land where you have to drive in for a bit on a private road. The owner might not shoot but the trespasser might be met with a gun.

The problem isn’t as bad as it was in the past but it’s still out there in pockets.

It's probably because it took so long to report her missing. Dont know the dynamics between her and the father and how much access he has while in the military but what excuse she gave of he asked for her?

MB lives in a fantasy land. She got pregnant and kept the baby although dysfunction surrounded her. She just "hoped" it would be okay. Whatever happened with EP, she moved on...who knows how many "boyfriends" before HW...and he really tried to distance himself from that label. Again, she was "hoping" it would work out. She's fast and loose with caring for EB but again, "hoped" everything would work out. She looks to others to save her but does nothing to save herself. I think she is sitting there thinking this will all eventually go away. I mean she got away with nobody even knowing EB was missing for 2 months.

It's just like what some of us were talking about earlier. I think TBsr might be one of those people who tried really hard and worked really hard at rising above a past he's not proud of. In this case, his doing the right thing came back and kicked him. There really is a certain unfairness to that because it's not supposed to be what happens when you do the right thing.

Well, I don't "not understand", but couldn't he just say that? "If all you people want to talk about is me, I'm not the topic of conversation. Ask me questions about my granddaughter, or get the he!! off my property."

The press could be useful, if they were asking the right questions. Alienating them in case you need them to spread a message, does not strike me as the way to go.

I hate to say it, but there's not much that surprises me with these cases anymore. I just want Evelyn found and justice served.

Cripes. I really think you might have something there. It was an odd thing to say imo. I'll try to find the video.

ETA: Here is the video that I thought contained MB's warning to any potential searchers, ie; "don't trespass." It's not in this video, however and I am very surprised. I'd have bet money.... but, maybe someone else will run across it and re-post it because I've seen all of MB I can take for one day. I was feeling empathetic towards her and then watched 3 videos. All I can say is that she is her own worst enemy because seeing and hearing her talk again after a break of about a week and my empathy has vaporized.

Megan Boswell speaks out about search for Evelyn, says she left her with the grandmother

Definitely wouldn’t been shocked if HW and his family were in on it. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised by much at this point.
