This makes me upset beyond the actions of the family (which obviously is upsetting.)

My response to this headline would be “So?” You don’t need them to be agreeable. You’re the d**m police. Get warrants, bang down doors, file warrants for cell records and gps pings, get out the search dogs and find this baby.

Stop wasting time making worthless statements to the press about the family being aggravated and social media getting in the way and do your job.
Thats what my thoughts have been, a missing 15 month old obviously in danger, get warrants for anywhere that EB could have been since Dec 10!!!
I did the same thing. I observed her in that hearing, playing it over more than once. I agree. It appeared to me that she was not necessarily smirking; more tension, anxiety, and completely clueless about how to navigate the situation she finds herself in. Just my observation, MOO.

I have zero emotion towards the family. My emotions are tied in with Evelyn only. Anger, worry, compassion for this little girl who, one way or another is out there lost. For me, it's primarily watching them, observing; looking for the tells. A waiting game for one of them to come forward and stop this anguish.
IMO....The best way for her to navigate the situation is asking to talk to her court appointed and give a statement, the truth.
I am so scared that Evelyn will not be found otherwise.
I can’t believe this was the perfect crime, where they did everything right, crossed all their t’s and dotted all their i’s, disposed of every bit of evidence and left not a single trace behind. There’s no way this crime was well planned and thought through. If they get by with this by chance and dumb luck I’ll be so frustrated. MB seems to self sabotage though, I think she’ll end up being her own worse enemy and might just crack.
I'm here patiently waiting for just that!

Evelyn Boswell: Sheriff says family members are ‘aggravated’ as police continue to ask them missing Tennessee tot
[...]

“We just want to find Evelyn and that’s our main concern, top priority and it seems like they’ve gotten aggravated at us for checking areas or asking questions and that doesn’t make much sense to me,” Sullivan County Sheriff Jeff Cassidy told News Channel 11 on Monday.

Cassidy didn’t specify which family members were pushing back on the questions and searches. According to Knox News, however, Evelyn’s maternal grandfather, Tommy Boswell Sr., previously called reporters “vultures” and refused to talk.

[...]

”The ones that really should know where Evelyn is or have any information on Evelyn are the ones that’s not giving us the accurate information that we need,” Cassidy said.

I don't believe for one minute that HW's family would cover up the death of a child to protect HW or anyone else. Buy him a chicken shack, bail him out of shoplifting charges ? Sure.

I just don't see any reason to assume a cover up by his parents.

Definitely wouldn’t been shocked if HW and his family were in on it. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised by much at this point.

I'd be surprised if his family was. HW? Wouldn't put it past him at all.

“Evelyn’s Army”

"Among the hundreds of people helping are members of an impromptu group, “Evelyn’s Army,” organized by local mother Amber Rogers. She started a Facebook group, Evelyn’s Army, on Feb. 24 and it has since become a locus for donations.

“The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office deserves this and so does baby Evelyn,” Rogers said Tuesday. “All of us (in the core group) are mothers and this all just hits very close to home.”

Here are some commonalities between the two cases:
- In TN
- Involve young child (Joe Clyde is a few years older)
- Relatives claim child disappeared
- Bodies have not been recovered
- Closest relatives are suspects
- Closest relatives are pointing fingers
- Closest relatives to child appear uneducated and unemployed/underemployed
- Closest relatives appear to have questionable morals and character

I went to search for Joe Clyde the morning his father was arrested. It was a sad moment for all that gathered to search that morning.

This case has more nuances such as the number of potential suspects, multiple locations, the car transaction, and the SM noise.

Both are unable to communicate. I think that’s what I remember about that case. He was special needs. Someone correct me if I’m wrong please!
There is a new TBI director.

The current FBI does not give much confidence.
Based on the B's recent SM posts, is it reasonable to consider...

After leaving TBjr's trailer, MB began staying with HW. EB was with MB during that time, except for the days MB was able to find a babysitter. HW, along with HW's parents, did see an interact with EB when MB would crash with HW.

Side Note: I imagine HW's parents were vocal about being displeased with his choice (MB). That said, HW strikes me as spoiled and entitled so their concerns about MB would have fallen on deaf ears.

Based on what we know about HW's parents, is it safe to assume... if something happened to EB while MB was staying with HW, HW's parents would spare no expense to cover it up in order to protect their son. I mean, they bought him a Chicken Shack. As I understand it, that was an effort to set him up for success in spite of his criminal history.

If EB was harmed while staying with HW, perhaps LE should be looking at their multiple properties (other than those on Sandy Pointe Street) as well.

Perhaps MB is protecting HW, not AB. Perhaps she still believes there is some sort of future with him. Family with money... nice houses... nice cars... everything she could ever want.

Thoughts?
This is exactly the way I have been leaning. I really think right now HW is about all she is thinking about. Other than how can this all go away so I can have a way out with HW!

I didn’t assume a cover up, I said I wouldn’t be shocked if they did. I don’t think they would help MB cover up the death of a child or even their son for that matter. But I do think they (and many other parents) would help cover up any involvement their son had with this scenario even if it was small, withhold information if it was damning to their child, or use what resources they had to help their child out. Just my opinion.

Noting:

“Professionally, you have a lot of mothers and fathers that work here that … you know, they’re having trouble sleeping at night,” Cassidy said. “They wake up thinking about Evelyn, they’re going to sleep thinking about Evelyn.”

In the case’s first days, following the AMBER Alert issued Feb. 19, Cassidy said his 14 criminal investigation division officers were consumed by the case.

“We were here late hours last week and I run into a couple detectives and I said you all go home and recharge your batteries and get some sleep, and they looked at me and said, sheriff, I can’t sleep.”

Oh I absolutely believe they would cover it up. They already have one son in prison, they’d do anything to keep their other son out of it.

Why isn't any of Evelyn's family doing this? Why aren't they searching, promoting awarness, pleading, crying???This is the one thing that each day, no matter what makes my heart break!

We really don’t know what any of these people are capable of....scary thought really.

I just used your post as a jumping off point for that thought, Kankan. I'm tryng to multi-task over here this afternoon, and failing miserably. Sorry for the confusion.

No worries at all. I didn’t think anything of it. :) I just know lots of parents who enable their kids to the bitter end and will do some sketchy stuff to make sure they don’t have to take responsibility for their actions. I can see that happening.

Also, I’m awful at multitasking. There are zero fluid thoughts in my brain when I have too much going on. Haha

i think its going to be a quiet day news wise, im actually not sure we'll hear much until we get the break we all want which is what happened to Evelyn and if she is alive or lost from this earth

it just seems to be the way this particular sherif's office is conducting this search

Just to clarify, I'm not saying that HW shouldn't be looked at. But I also think the B family doesn't want LE sniffing around in their dirty underwear either. It cramps their "style", imo.

OMG, Kat. I just ate supper.

I used to think that my own brother would never do any harm to me or anyone in our family. He's an addict we found out and he is so easily triggered, I ended up being assaulted Thanksgiving a few years back. Drugs alter peoples behavior and decision making so much. The whole drug situation with this family makes it a lot scarier for me to think about what has happened to Evelyn. I know we cannot say for sure that MB used anything but we definitely know the person she said she trusted with that baby does.

there are still places in Western North Carolina where strangers would be in danger if they trespassed. Most people know better, especially if it is a larger tract of land where you have to drive in for a bit on a private road. The owner might not shoot but the trespasser might be met with a gun.

The problem isn’t as bad as it was in the past but it’s still out there in pockets.

I may be wrong but I think maybe TN Hiker was suspecting the "don't trespass" was motivated by MB knowing Evelyn is on land that is connected to MB or one of her family members and she reacted impulsively by saying that rather than out of any real concern. Maybe I read too much into MB's warning... maybe she was really just thinking of people getting shot. Buuut... then again, maybe not.

I didn’t think too much into the trespassing thing either. In the Lucas Hernandez case It became a problem and LE even had to address it. This was in Kansas and its no joke to go onto someone’s land uninvited. So to me it seemed normal.
