Well, I don't "not understand", but couldn't he just say that? "If all you people want to talk about is me, I'm not the topic of conversation. Ask me questions about my granddaughter, or get the he!! off my property."

The press could be useful, if they were asking the right questions. Alienating them in case you need them to spread a message, does not strike me as the way to go.

If he truly doesn't have any more information than what has already been disclosed, then the media attention on him and his past just acts as a distraction. This case has been great in that LE has been giving frequent updates so Evelyn has been staying in the news. If TBSr thinks MB is responsible for what happened to Evelyn, then there's no "real killer" out there to plead with through the media. I think that's the main difference here. One person had custody of Evelyn, one person was responsible for Evelyn's health and safety, and one person knows what happened to Evelyn but she has refused to disclose that information to LE - and that person is already in jail. I don't see how the media can be all that helpful this long after the events happened.

I heard something on MBs video that she requested one on one with a reporter. She talked about how EB was a preemie and yet hit every milestone early. Granted it’s been 31 yrs since I had a preemie but he wasn’t caught up until about 4. I’m just wondering if anyone else had a preemie that was ahead of schedule. Just curious I guess.

with all the stuff going on in TN today with the tornadoes and people dead 23 atm ( death toll just rose to 25, these overnight tornadoes are so deadly) also with it being super tuesday for voting

i think its going to be a quiet day news wise, im actually not sure we'll hear much until we get the break we all want which is what happened to Evelyn and if she is alive or lost from this earth

it just seems to be the way this particular sherif's office is conducting this search

That is very true. The weather last night, while not really impacting us here in the TRI aside from rain and storms, has been the focus today. I have family and a coworker who lives in the impacted area. Glad to say they are ok, but one lost their house.

Went to vote this morning and there was a lot of talk about EB while in line. People haven’t and won’t forget - it’s just that today the focus has changed a bit to other issues.

Community support in the search for Evelyn Boswell: a prayer vigil and t-shirt sales

As the search for Evelyn Boswell continues people in the community are supporting law enforcement and each other.

Blountville United Methodist Church Pastor Susan Arnold is hosting a prayer vigil for Evelyn at 7 p.m.

She called the case a “great big puzzle, we have right now in our community, a tragic puzzle and there are investigators and lots of people trying to put those puzzle pieces together.”

“They will receive a puzzle piece, its pink and it has a little ‘E’ on it, to carry with them and no matter where they are just to remind them as they leave as part of the community,” Arnold says. “We are a part of praying and that is an important piece to this puzzle."

I delivered my twins at 31 weeks and they were caught up by 6/9 months and by a year on the bigger side of kids their age
*side note, my former sister in law delivered her son a month early (36 weeks) and really held onto the “preemie” title and really loved the attention it brought HER. After she wasn’t getting the sympathy anymore she lost interest in him (so sad). Curious if MB would’ve done the same

I’m guessing she wasn’t too premature. I had my oldest at 36 weeks and she hit every milestone early. Even through she was considered premature she wasn’t “that” premature. I’m guessing Evelyn may have been the same?

100% agree. MB's statements are disingenuous and by no means should she be given any slack. I think everyone agrees that she knows more than she is saying and it is in her best interest to lay it all out on the table.

That said, I too am curious about the "why". Not "why did this happen to EB" but "why is MB continuing down this path". Is she protecting someone else along with herself? If so, who...AB? If AB...why?

Today, when MB was escorted into the courtroom, she immediately looked into the gallery. She did this several times after taking her seat (between diverting her attention back to the judge). What some saw as a killer playing up to TV cameras, I saw as a child looking for the familiar faces of family. Much like a kid hitting their first homerun in little league and looking into the crowd for a parent after tagging homeplate. MB did not find those faces. She looked again and again and found no one. In that moment, she had to know she was alone. If she didn't know it (or didn't want to know it) during her entire disfunctional childhood, surely she knows it now.

Maybe that's the best thing that could happen right now. Maybe it forces her to move toward reality (unless she is otherwise incapable of doing so because of sociopathy). In that moment, any 18 year old with a "normal" functioning brain would realize that no one is going to swoop down and save them. That they have officially entered adulthood, where consequences truly exist. Where playing stupid games means winning stupid prizes.

Did MB realize that today? Did she realize that no one... not EP, HW, TBsr, TBjr or AB, not even her ever supportive Grandmother is going to help her? She is in this alone. For someone who is accustomed to living off of other people, using manipulation so others will provide for and sustain her existence... I imagine that could be an extreme "big girl panties" moment.

Or...instead of letting it affect her emotionally, she just tucked it away with a lifetime of other hurtful and disappointing moments. If that is the case, I expect she will continue on her current trajectory and we may never know what happened to EB.
And what could be so horrible that a threat from your mom is more important than being away from your child! It just doesn’t make sense to me. Why isn’t AB speaking out and defending herself and her boyfriend? It doesn’t sound like she was that close to MB, family dynamics are really strange here, very confusing to me.

Thank you, mine was born at 32 weeks, 4lbs 5oz. Preemie title could be true, I would have given anything if he was full term! That is awesome about your twins!!

Absolutely! Also MB is full of bologna so who even knows if Evelyn was premature at all or hit any of her milestones before or on time if she was. I take everything she says with a grain of salt.

I may be wrong but I think maybe TN Hiker was suspecting the "don't trespass" was motivated by MB knowing Evelyn is on land that is connected to MB or one of her family members and she reacted impulsively by saying that rather than out of any real concern. Maybe I read too much into MB's warning... maybe she was really just thinking of people getting shot. Buuut... then again, maybe not.

Yes, I was attempting to imply MB may have advised people not to trespass because EB can be found on private land (owned by her own family or the family of those she was involved with during that time).

Or, perhaps MB said it for no reason whatsoever.

I just thought it was an odd statement to make. Find my daughter but don't trespass? I can't imagine a parent making that type of statement while there is an active Amber Alert for their child.

I have a 30 weeker preemie (2lbs 14 oz, 72 days in NICU), and the only thing she’s ahead of schedule on is teeth :D. Poor babe is barely 18 months adjusted and she’s getting her last molars in, its been hellish.

My youngest was a preemie, 26 weeks. The first year was very hard and he did not talk until he was 3. But since then he has been advanced, especially on the academic side.

My preemie was 30 years ago. He didn't catch up for 3-4 months and was 9 months old when they removed the heart monitor.
I've stated that MB reminds me of my sister with disassociative disorder. I never once left my son alone with her.
