Snipped to say, I think she learned to lie carefully to avoid punishment early in life. JMO

Snipped to say good catch! I remember having a microsecond of disgust the first time I heard this interview, before the rest of the sentence came out.

Snipped to say thanks for this reminder. I think he’s an introvert, maybe socially awkward (just like me!) even when not being questioned over and over again about a missing partner. I have to assume I might look guilty in a similar interview because I’d be so nervous and awkward. I’d cry, but he’s a man and might have been taught not to cry in public. (Not when it comes to my baby... I’d be a blubbering mess.) But that’s a good reminder that different personalities/life experiences lead to different body language, speech patterns, and mannerisms.

All JMO

I want to be clear that I don’t question others here who see her reactions as not appropriate. I actually don’t think they were anywhere close to appropriate, either. And all too often, (think CA or CW), we are right.

In the Heidi case, the father did the right things. Reported her missing, had the visible support of LE, etc.

It’s the entirety of what we have learned about Evelyns’s case at this point (inconsistencies and straight up lies by MB), that push me to believe MB is culpable in Evelyn’s death. I’d bet on it.

Whether anyone else was involved or not remains to be seen.

all IMO

"15-month-old baby Evelyn is reported missing by her grandfather, and her mother gives multiple explanations about where the child is. First, it was a babysitter, then she is with her mother, but none of it rings true. What happened to Evelyn Boswell?"

Am I correct that MB never brought pictures of Evelyn to any of the interviews she gave?????????
Yes, and I loved how the interviewer asked her about that more than once. Poor Maggie just never caught on.

I've been thinking about the information/tip that LE received that made them go to the exact location they found Evelyn.
If it was the outbuilding that was near MB'S grandmothers residence it could have been her that gave LE the information.
She remembered that MB brought her things there and Evelyn was never seen after that.
That could be. I didn't realize her grandmother lived on the property.
I still think someone had to have smelled an odor and called LE. The body must have been wrapped up pretty well or put in a storage bin or something not to have smelled all that time.

How did we determine that he is in fact the biological father?

To my knowledge, that’s never been determined. He would have had to take a DNA test.

ETA: I was saying that if he took a DNA test, they couldn’t fight him making decisions

I'm fairly certain, in my opinion, a freezer was involved.

I'm anxious for at least one arrest in this case. The only consolation I have is the emotional uncertainty the murderer(s)\possible accomplices must be feeling.

I can't shake the feeling that MB is relishing the attention. I mean that in a twisted, sick, maybe even pathological way. It seems like she either can't or won't recognize the significance of her actions.

I don't believe she has a mental illness, maybe just limited intellect and certainly she lacks insight/self awareness. Neither excuses her from the consequences.

Hopefully once she realizes that there's more at stake than attention - or else becomes bored as the attention dies down - she'll start to talk about what happened to Evelyn. MOO.

never a truer word has been spoken on this thread, i just dont buy the people saying insanity plea can't see it and it wouldn't work with what she's already presented imo moo

but she is exactly as you described but i think the lacks of insight/self awareness is pretty common with young people i think a lot of us had that at that age

can't see the forest through the trees or so they say

She had a hard copy new born photo at the 2nd interview, that I am guessing was more due to the woman that accompanied her than MB. It wasnt shown in the live, but there were photos of her holding it in the articles.

I get that she had no photos though... Most are probably on her phone/s, which were probably in the hands of LE.

I just saw an article that was hyped up poppycock but had the most Captain Obvious title ever...

Details from toddler's death scene may lead to killer, says panel of investigators

It takes a PANEL to come up with this bit of genius. o_O

Could be, but she did the interviews before she was arrested, so I'm sure she could have figured out how to get more current pictures to show the public to help find her child.

It probably didn't occur to her that she would be missing a great opportunity to get the word out and show her picture because she knew it wouldn't do any good.

To me it was just one more indication that she was guilty.

That's a great point....especially for the first interview, which she requested. Go to walgreens and get a picture from FB printed up in 4 minutes to show everyone!

I definitely think she has been loving it.

She had no issues with the internet rumors (which were for the most part that she killed Evelyn) as long as they were helping to find her daughter. I mean, that's something to wrap your head around in and of itself... is she saying the rumors that she killed Evelyn will help find her?

Somebody mentioned a few nights ago (or last night, this week has been a blur) that it was like she was reading CA's playbook. And sometimes I wonder if that is literally true. CA is so hated, but she was the talk of everyone. For YEARS. And to this day, if that person sneezes it's a headline. So many weirdos thought CA was soooo hot. Did she do some research after the fact and decide to go big or go home?

I wonder what level of neglect she experienced as a child. Any attention beats no attention?

I don't know if I believe any of what I just wrote... but it just lurks in the back of my mind all the time.
ETA - I DO believe she's loving the attention... it's the rest that lurks. :D

MB makes a slip using past tense starting at the :25 second mark in this interview. I'm amazed at how much MB was able to keep up the present tense when speaking about EB - imo she had to have put some thought into how to speak before giving any interviews.

It was my opinion before EB was found that she was deceased and that MB knew, was present and responsible for what happened to EB so tried to watch for this type of slip. It must be difficult when you have killed someone (or know that they are deceased before they are found) to speak candidly about them and at the same time be careful to use present tense.

Answering a question from interviewer - 'She loves to take baths. That was her favorite thing.'

Jmo.

BBM: Good observation!

Maybe 'something' happened to Evelyn while Evelyn was taking a bath......ya know, the old saying about there's always a little bit of truth mixed into the lies somewhere.

Of course, we don't know, so this is JMO and just a possibility.

Knowing where little EB was found, I think they thought that was the perfect place to hide her. In their mind no one would look on TBsr’s land because he reported her missing and they “knew” there was no reason for LE to suspect him. (Keeping in mind we don’t know if she was in an out-building near MBs grandmother, brother, or dad’s home). MOO and all that stuff.
What if DJ is lying about all that hanging out in an effort to protect at least AB?
IMO...
