Jay Cutler Attempted to Flee the Scene of DUI Arrest, Police Allege, as New Details Emerge

Retired NFL quarterback and reality TV star Jay Cutler had attempted to flee the scene when he was arrested Thursday and charged with a DUI and possessing a handgun while under the influence, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Cutler, 41, allegedly rear-ended another vehicle in downtown Franklin on Thursday, Oct. 17 and attempted to flee the scene before offering to pay the driver of the vehicle $2,000 if he didn’t call the police, according to charging documents obtained by PEOPLE.
