I'm more inclined to believe whoever is responsible for getting rid of the jeep is/was fully aware of the plan to disappear Gail..JMHO...

ETA.. I was totally shocked to learn a person can actually hire someone to kill another person for $1,000..

True, but I guess I'm hoping for a loose end-- someone who may come forward with info about the jeep.

Sorry, it took me a while to find it because Facebook has the worst interface ever invented. I did finally find CB's comment on June 10th: "Upon reliable sources, Gail was spotted at Ace Hardware around 3 PM that Saturday and then on the Trails between 4:30 and 6:30 PM." He said it was unconfirmed. That's the only source I know of for the possible sighting at Ace, and he later said he didn't think Ace had security cameras.

It figures LE didn't ask Ace if they had security cameras. Geez, they make it so diificult!

What are the trails? Are they hiking trails, road or an establishment?? TIA

Here is a video showing Big Fork Road where Gail was allegedly seen between 4:30 and 6:30 pm on the 30th..

Em - I know you hold to this theory, and it was my initial gut reaction after learning the details about how MP treated Gail, about the DV calls, about the girlfriend, about the bleeding of funds from Gail's retirement account, about the controlling behavior, etc etc etc.

But I'm still open to various other plausible theories, too....if only one theory could be pin-pointed. :woohoo:

It would be interesting to run a poll, listing various theories of what happened to Gail to see if there is a theory that is prevalent...what do y'all think?

No doubt I have tunnel vision when it comes to what I think happened...
I readily admit I do not believe Gail just up and left her children of her own volition or is hiding out somewhere all the while knowing her children are most probably desperately wondering where she is and what may have happened to her......
IF there was a road rage incident involving MP, I feel certain it didn't occur on one of the main roads on the mountain or on the main roads going up or down the mountain..JMHO

In reference to myself, MP conveniently arriving at the residence within 10 minutes after Gail left the residence sets off my hinky meter BIG TIME..

Do I know what happened? No, I don't.. I wasn't there but I feel certain he is involved in whatever happened..Maybe he wasn't physically present and on the scene but I feel he is the one who is responsible for Gail's disappearance...JMHO


Also, IF true Gail was last seen around 6:30 pm that day, again..... how convenient for him, since he was most probably enroute to or already at the Lookouts game at that time...JMHO

My theory is Gail's disappearance is/ was a MFH... Matt P did the hiring....JMHO

TY for finding that. Not a FB'er here, but does FB have a search function for a page? With all the pages being created for missing persons and people wanting to research, this would be so helpful. If not...FB GET WITH IT!!!! IMO

Agree. #1 He has done nothing to prove himself innocence in the public eye...quite the contrary. #2 It definitely seems MP doesn't like to get his hands or image anywhere where near dirty and likes to have someone else take care of "problems" he creates/ed for himself. Saying that, and everything we know of revealed secrets that have surfaced, I don't believe it was a heat of the moment scenario that went bad....especially since we have no evidence of foul play. Also agree the 10 min time frame at this time is very hinky....not only for the "time" but just because no has come forward with any information surrounding it. imo

eta: I've never seen a case where LE doesn't reach out or stay in touch with public/media. They have just been too quite!

Hi, I have been lurking at WS for along time, but had to post in regards to this case, as something about this case is really bothering me. Does anybody know if there were any pings from her phone BETWEEN 4/30 and the last ping on 5/2? It seems to me if MP was the last person she is known to have spoken with, that would be on 4/30, right? Then the mysterious ping on 5/2 - so is it possible that someone had her phone, and for some reason it was turned back on on 5/2 briefly? Otherwise it would have pinged continuously since 4/30, right?

IMO, the phone was off and so there were no pings after her conversations 4/30.but imo the battery died on 5/2 and that was what sent the last ping to the nearest tower.

I believe they have said her last phone ping was 5/2 by the Walmart at the base of Signal Mountain, and I have read that they did do a search in that basic area, but not sure.

I think the ping was at a tower located at the base of the mountain. At that time, I think the family and possibly LE made the assumption that the ping was associated with the Walmart because it made sense that she would stop there. -But,I don't think that the ping was directly associated with the Walmart

Holly - Totally agree about the LE being too quiet part! Agree with your analysis of MP, too, but not sure what to believe about a "heat of the moment" scenario, yet.

Can anyone who was local at the time Gail went missing, verify for me that if traveling W on 27 you would take exit 180B to continue on 27S, and pass under 24? Is that correct? Or was that exit closed at the time?

Exit 180-B is the exit for Rossville Blvd...A person taking that exit is already on 1-24 headed toward I-75...You would not need to pass under I-24 IF you take 180-B exit and intend to go South on 27..http://www.milebymile.com/main/United_States/Tennessee/photo_41618.html

I don't know IF 180-B exit for Rossville Blvd is the exit when headed toward the ridge cut....
OR....
on the other side on the right after you have passed over the ridge cut headed toward either Nashivlle, Birmingham, or downtown Chattanooga...

IF you are traveling on Interstate 24 going east toward( I-24) ( I-75) split you would not have to go under I-24 at the 180-B exit to travel S on 27...

If you are traveling on Interstate 24 going W you would need to go back under I-24 to travel S
on 27...

Right now I'm too confused to even think straight... I do not recall the exact number for any given exit ever here in town........ I just drive and usually know where to get off the interstate....LOL...

I am obsessively trying to connect the 5/2 ping to a specific grid. I feel like driving that interchange over and over again with multiple providers on the line, saying "Here? What about now? Now? NOW?" Lol.

I apologize if this was discussed in detail before, but was there knowledge of MP cheating prior to him getting caught by the Blue Cross incident? I know that GP suspected he was cheating, but did she know for sure and did she know with whom he had the affair? Also, did the authorities know if he was having an affair, before the Blue Cross incident?
