Things I would like to know and hope to find out very soon:
1.) Are the keys still in the ignition?
2.) Is the car in "Drive" or "Neutral?"
3.) Is her purse and/or cell phone in the car? (I am concerned about this-her cell phone was pinging, so therefore was working-why couldn't she use it to call someone if she was able to get out of the car?)
ETA-
4.) Have they checked nearby the vehicle? Is there a way she was thrown from the vehicle?

Her vehicle is soft topped right? If she and the phone were in the vehicle when it went over the side, she and the phone and a lot of evidence could have been ejected from the vehicle at any point on the way down. I cringe at how long that will take to clear, given how treacherous it is.

RT @abburger: No confirmation on Gail's remains. Terrain is rugged. Scene will be secured at night. Might bring in cadaver dogs.

RT @TimesFreePress: Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond says no body has been found in the Jeep. #GailPalmgren

RT @abburger: Tag comes back belonging to Gail. Alabama plate reading, "EAZY ST" where her family has a lake house in Wetumpka.

I am interested in the comment on the dogs. I was unaware that she didn't leave them.

With a soft topped jeep, dropping almost all the way down the incline, hitting everything in it's path, it's unlikely any of those things will be where they are supposed to be. Purse, phone, Gail, keys, miscellaneous vehicle parts will have been ejected and can be anyywhere from E Brow to the Vehicles current location, not contained to the vehicle site. With the difficulty of getting to the site from E Brow so far, that search will be like finding a needle in a haystack.

FWIW, recently in Calif a family searched and found their father that had crashed down a ravine. There was a second car at the scene with a deceased person in it that had crashed months before.

The second car might solve another missing person case.

oh my...no body inside. The plot thickens. Wonder if the top was the soft one and if it is split and torn. WOnder what evidence there is leading LE to want to bring dogs in?
Good questions Duchess, especially about the keys, if they were in the ignition. If a vehicle plunged down a slope like that would it have stayed running until out of gas? Or worse, why didn't it blow up?

How in the world will dogs get down there? The searchers had to rapel and they might have to air lift the vehicle out.

Oriah? Sarx?

Per Sheriffs Dept, no body found in Jeep, however, bringing in cadaver dogs to search the area.

I forget who asked but there are no guardrails on East Brow. There is a little rock wall. However, there are places you can pull your car over to look out at the view. You are driving right on the edge of the mountain. Very expensive houses on one side of East Brow, drop off on the other side.

Does anyone know what the weather was like when Gail disappeared? Also, does anyone have a pic of the jeep?

April 30, 2011 was a beautiful day, mostly sunny in the low 80s according to Weather Underground. I remember thinking how strange it was to have such wonderful weather right after the terrible tornado outbreak a few days earlier.
