Oooo this worries me. It doesn't sound good. I wonder if the brother's story only seems kinda weird becaues LE has just made certain parts available. But overall it doesn't make a lot of sense.

From what I gather... she was outside (?) in her car port, her brother was outside (somewhere) and saw her being dragged off into the woods but he didn't pursue them directly and waited for LE. That doesn't make a lot of sense... but I don't know.

I was in a situation with my sister and there is no way I would have 1) gone inside for something 2) watched them go away without doing anything 3) just sat around waiting.

I would venture this was not random. I would think it was either someone stalking her, perhaps from school that had cased out her house or, the usual ex boyfriend. Neither way looks good

I don't think her brother was outside, but I don't know for sure. Someone had posted earlier that her brother was inside in the shower. He heard Holly screaming, jumped out of the shower and ran outside (to where she was) just in time to see her being dragged into the woods.

I don't think her brother or mom had anything to do with her being kidnapped...

BUT something really weird is going on..either LE is keeping most details secret or her family was too shocked to do anything...
If the knife they found in the woods is related that is even stranger.. a knife wouldn't keep me form intervening.. a gun would but not a knife...
Secondly why abandon the knife.... he'd need to keep hold of it, to keep her under control unless she was out cold or dead already.. but how would he do that, THAT QUICKLY??? stab her.. there would be screaming which the family would be able to hear because he wouldn't have been able to get very far, a gun, they would have heard that go off.. chloroform??? That is a posibility.. with her out with that he wouldn't need the knife right away...
For some reason with as well as this seems to have been planned out.. it seems like a foray into SKing, not a general kidnapping...

more thoughts... this seems very well planned out....
BUT why take her with family home.. why risk that?? If he's been watching.. he knew they were there..
WHy not take her on one of the country roads she drives or something... get her to pull over or wait till she got to campus and grab her at the parking lot would be easier to pull up behind her car with his, put a knife to her back and say you're coming with me.. has he cased it and know they have cameras??? Why worry about that unless he has a pretty distinctive vehicle, it's easy to bend your plats up for a bit so your plate number cannot be read.......
If she was being drug and probably kicking.. were her shoes found or at least 1 of them???
