Now if she is alive and being held in a house (shack) in the woods infrared would have been able to be detected then boots on the ground check it out. There is so much woods there! It looks almost like where i live here in se Va.

Lera - Why do you think that about the perp doing a shift-work type schedule?
That's an interesting speculation. And for my 2 cents: besides Wal-Mart or a factory, direct support care staff at a nursing home would likely work shifts.

Yes, and most any healthcare-related employment works that type schedule. I was thinking about jobs like EMT, paramedic, etc.

How many of you think that abductors read these forums as guests or worse yet actually write on them?

I have this strange feeling we are "being watched".

Around the time that Btk (D. Rader) was contacting the police again, I would discuss the case with other people on a well known website. Someone posted a list of unsolved homicides of women in the area, about 13 victims, and asked which ones anyone thought he might be responsible for. I mentioned the two I thought he murdered, based on specific factors in the murders (he later pled guilty to--or was convicted of--both of them). At the time, I received a crazy response from some man who also posted on the website. He was yelling at me in all caps that I didn't know what I was talking about, and how the h*ll could I know something like that. I thought, "I'm outta here," and didn't post again.

Just a hunch on my part. I don't think it was a day off, because this guy would have to have a very good plan for the following day to keep HB secure (if alive). No I think he is a shift worker, drove by the families home when he got off work each time and would see her leaving the driveway.

If this is related to HS case, wonder if this guy is a traveling nurse? Oh scratch that, I'm thinking a nurse's aide.

Ararat cemetary is right off 5 forks road which is off swan johnson road.
THank you and for the record Google needs to update their maps from this area. My area was like this too, and I submitted to request an update of the area...4 months later they did and now I have street view, camera you can see my driveway and stuff clear.

I think they are questioning a lot of different people. I also think they do have a person(s) in mind. I think it's safe to say that they have known about things like the cell ping... However, I think they only release bits and pieces to stress the person they are watching out. Maybe the individual who did this, believed that his plan was fool-proof, which most do, and now hears how they found certain items belonging to Holly -- then set up roadblocks, then say her phone pinged a mile from her home. I am sure to the perp, all of this becomes extraordinarily stressful. It's much easier to sit back and watch as the perp starts making big mistakes and has rather large lapses in judgement, as opposed to running around a heavily wooded county, on a wild goose chase.

Usually, the family, friend's, classmate's, etc are out giving news interviews... This whole town has shut down to that, so it seems. LE and the family know far more than they are telling.

I totally agree. I believe that the family has been asked to remain quiet. I know some people who live in the town and they are very careful to only say what has already been reported in the media and nothing else. Even though we want to know more and many think they deserve to know more, this is really about Holly and doing what is best in this particular case. I think when it's all said and done, we will recognize the value of the strategy. Thanks for your post!

willnunley: TBI declined questions about blood evidence, possible suspects, detainments, and new evidence. #hollybobo
about 21 hours ago

I'm stuck on 'detainments'. TBI did not say there haven't been any detainments, but they did decline to answer that. Not saying NO, not saying YES. So the question is still on the table. Perhaps someone HAS been detained, maybe since Thursday, when they had volunteers take the day off, and the info from this detainment is what is determining the locations to search now?

Here in NH, we have a ton of places that are abandoned and underground -- I guess similar to storm shelters. Have they used infrared and would that be able to see underground? I have not heard of any reports of helicopters and such.. Anyone else?

As a side note, there is no way those road blocks were set up to "ask what people saw that morning"... They are looking for specific tire's IMO.

Morning everyone. The last post I made was yesterday about the duct tape with the blond hairs. I thought that maybe the perp. had grazed Holly's hair with a first piece of duct tape, but then decided it wasn't going to work. He then gets another piece that is more suitable for his purposes. For some reason, he dropped it.
______________________

This morning I'm thinking about that duct tape again. This is a long-shot, or is it? Even if the test on the blond hairs comes back as not being Holly's, it could be perps. Maybe from hairs being pulled from a hand or arm? What perp. could have blond hair? Then I thought back to my other posts. I knew that the U.S. Marshals were on the case. So several days ago I looked up their most wanted and some of those fugitives might fit the criteria. I posted that this is an example of one of them:

http://www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/most_wanted/hiers/overview.htm

The above listed fugitive fits the criteria for what they are looking for in a perp. IMO

I don't know how to do a poll but it seems to me that many of us ol' timers on here all feel about the same about this case.

1) This was a well planned abduction, the result of an obsession
2) Brother and boyfriend aren't involved
3) Perp is someone local who was on the periphery of Holly's life
4) We feel there is a good chance Holly is still alive
5) The perp is an adult at least in his middle 20's but probably older (I lean towards 30's)
6) Probably not the perp's first crime
7) Perp has been involved in the searches

Please feel free to add to this list, disagree, do a poll, whatever...

I agree with your assessment almost completely, except to say that I think it's someone she knew better than as a mere acquaintance (not her family, not her current bf). My feeling that it's someone she knows does not come from statistics, but from several other factors.

are there any military bases close?

I said it once before and will say it again. If we are frustrated can you imagine the UNSUB not knowing what TBI knows or doesn't know?

The unsub is probably looking over his shoulder twice, on edge, if at work probably making many mistakes because I think if HB is deceased this is his first kill. I dont' think she is deceased yet and that is why TBI isn't saying anything.

Thanks Nehemiah. You are right about that. Now I'm stuck on nursing home, EMT, and paramedic. Hmmmmm.......

I think it's pretty amazing that the whole town has remained hush hush. The family hasn't been out in the media pleading for her return and that leads me to believe they know who it is. I am sure the town has suspicions too and no one anywhere has really said anything anywhere. I am amazed and proud of the people in this town!

I believe the family still thinks she is alive, I get that feeling from the shirts they sold yesterday with her moms favorite scripture and reading that they want the money from the shirts to go to Holly for a vacation when she returns

I know the infrared is only good if a body is still warm. (blood circulating) I also think it can penatrate the ground to a certain degree. Military can probably see further.

Road Block could have been from getting more information, watching who is nervous, smelling of any newly washed vehicle, and Tire tread.

My question is why does LE think she is still in the area with i-40 so close? Something told them she is still in the area. I believe it was HB who left some items as a trail to find her.
