Here's a good link showing some resistance from the TBI:
The only development has been the TBI claiming that an Ohio-based group called Tactical Search and Rescue is hindering their investigation with "false leads" and "incorrect" information.
The volunteer group insists they are not interfering and that they continue to receive three to four good leads a week that are not being taken seriously by officials.
"So far the TBI has basically shot us down and called us liars," said Tony Calabrese, 46, the group's founder.
Calabrese, who previously worked in the music recording industry, started the group's website because he could relate to the family's pain. He says his own two daughters were kidnapped by a family member in 1999, and safely recovered after three days.
Calabrese believes his group has been wrongly dismissed by the police. "I don't see how anybody helping search could hinder an investigation when they're providing leads," said Calabrese. "There's no shame to law enforcement admitting to or asking for outside help."
"We are not working in cooperation or conjunction with that investigation," said TBI spokesperson Helm. "They do not have firsthand knowledge of the case."
Calabrese said he has spoken to two of Bobo's family members, but has been asked not to disclose who those relatives are. He says that her family is "very appreciative of what we're doing" and says he has never been told by them to stop what he is doing.
They went to Ohio and tore up his house and took confiscated his computers. It was noted that LE accused him of obstructing an investigation...so much for trying to help.
I don't know about others but I get the distinct impression that LE wants absolutely no one intruding in this case. From my perspective, they want no one talking about it either.
What exactly have they confirmed? Dana spoke out (on JVM) about the blood and was whisked from his chair and replaced by the pastor spokesperson who tells us absolutely nothing when asked a direct question.

I think they went and took his computers because they want the info thats on those computers! He probably found out more sheet then they did.

"The person responsible for Holly's disappearance lives in the area," said Mark Gwyn, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. "Because of the terrain, you have to know where you're going, entrances and exits. We feel the person is in the community. We're asking the community if you know someone who has changed their routine, please let us know."
Gwyn said it is possible Bobo's abductor led the woman to a vehicle left on a road, accessible through the woods, and drove away.
Sheet being the operative word. If you throw enough of it on the wall something is bound to stick. If I were to throw out the name of every single person in the state of Tennessee and surrounding states a potential suspects, I'm bound to be right. The problem is, I haven't helped the investigation one bit, but now have made things worse for LE because they have to eliminate all those potentials just because someone spewed it out there even though there was no real basis for it.
Wouldn't there be fresh tire tracks on that logging road if it were used that morning?
How does anyone know there was no real basis for it?
...looks to me like he must have given them something to work on. From where I sit, they hadn't had much before.
The only development has been the TBI claiming that an Ohio-based group called Tactical Search and Rescue is hindering their investigation with "false leads" and "incorrect" information.
Prior to its removal Calabrese posted, among other things, photos of locals and threats to their safety.
On May 28 Calabrese provided an update stating that information had been found in Hollys case after a lengthy investigation by a private organization. He claimed all information would be publicly posted on the Facebook page. It never was.
Calabrese said all findings were submitted to the FBI, TBI, and Decatur County Sheriffs Department. However, when asked if there was any truth to those claims Helm responded via email May 30, No.
On May 30 Calabrese claimed on his Facebook page that Holly had been found and that authorities would not release information until DNA testing was done. Asked if that information was true or rumor Helm responded, Its a rumor.
Earlier in May Calabrese claimed there had been a large-scale search one weekend at the quarry. Asked to confirm this search took place Helm replied via email May 11, There was not a search at the quarry over the weekend.
Days later Calabrese claimed his team had uncovered new information that led them to an area that had to be thoroughly ground searched. He claimed he was awaiting clearance from the TBI and urged people to sign up for the search via a contact form on a website hed created.
When asked to confirm if the TBI was aware of the Tactical SAR Team or if they had provided clearance for them to search, Helm replied via email May 17, No.
Asked if there was any truth to a statement made by Calabrese that information had been found by a private search organization and submitted to the TBI, FBI, and Decatur County Sheriff, and that the truth is in the evidence as they awaited an arrest and conviction, Helm replied via email May 30, No.
Calabrese created a Facebook page claiming he was working with the TBI and FBI. He posted photos of landmarks and companies he claimed to be points of interest, and photos of young men he classified as points of interest even though none of the young men had been named persons of interest or suspects in Hollys disappearance.
This raised confusion among locals and people following the case.
All of the information and photos on the Search and Info Facebook page were removed in late May, just before articles were released about the TBIs concerns over Calabreses interference with the investigation into Hollys disappearance.
Locals raised concerns for the safety and wellbeing of the young men labeled as points of interest, one saying, If that was my son on that Facebook page Id be terrified. Id probably move out of state out of fear that someone would believe one of these boys is responsible for Hollys disappearance. I cant imagine what these boys mothers are going through.
At the time, the TBI publicly stated that Calabreses involvement was hindering their investigation.
Search and rescue groups across the U.S. have shared that Calabreses behavior is unusual and that his methods do not follow the rules and guidelines specified for legitimate search and rescue groups.
Here's another news story that's interesting:
http://abcnews.go.com/US/holly-bobo-search-police-make-significant-find-hunt/story?id=13448569
nvestigators have said they believe Bobo's abductor lives in or near the 20-year-old college student's town of Parsons, Tenn., and have asked her neighbors to report any unusual activity or a break in peoples' routine those noticed in recent days.
The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever abducted Holly Bobo is up to $80,000, including $50,000 from the state, which was announced by Gov. Bill Haslam last week, and a reward offered by Bobo's community.
Some of that key evidence includes the 20-year-old nursing student's lunch box found miles from her home. The other evidence being analyzed was found in the woman's driveway and includes blood on the ground and duct tape with blond hair stuck to it ,her cell phone and purse. .
Gwyn said it is possible Bobo's abductor led the woman to a vehicle left on a road, accessible through the woods, and drove away.
Well you'd think so and maybe foot prints, blood too
Where did they find the tape with Holly's hair glued to it? Was it in the carport or in the woods, on the roadside behind the Bobo's?
Did LE dust for the perp's fingerprints on the tape? Or Kelly's lunchbox, purse, cell phone?
I wonder if LE has questioned the alibi of one Donnie F Jones and some of the SO's in the area on their whereabouts on the morning Holly went missing?
Did LE check their cell phone records?
Holly's purse was found? Am I reading that correctly?!
I was looking at the quarry and that seems like a ripe place for a search. LE certainly should have been looking there. So I don't consider TC off track at all.
I have asked many times...."Where exactly was the lunch bag found?' I want to see how far from the road it was. I want to see the exact spot and its relationship to the area and the road. A pic was posted for me but it was of no value because there was no road, distance, or anything to relate to its location. With Sierra's case, LE certainly keeps us informed and we could all see where the bag was found. As far as searching, it is not against the law for anyone to look or question people on their own. Apparently, TN has different rules.
Also, where exactly was the blood found? Clint says it was below the silhouettes. Okiedokie. Could that please be graphed so all can see where the blood was? I don't think that is asking too much. IMO, all involved in this case are way too silent. I say they want this case to go away. My guess is that some even monitor this board....
I'm glad California doesn't try to stop people from sleuthing by raiding their homes and computers. They treated TC like a suspect....the only suspect btw. What are they afraid of? Too much work or somebody outside getting too close?
Really sad that this case appears to be heading in the cold case files along with so many others. It truly becomes overwhelming when we look at all the unsolved cases. Sometimes I sit back and wonder where they all are. Are they dead? Are they alive?
