I find it very difficult to proceed going any further in the case when we haven't even been able to clear the family or the neighbors. Of course, there is a possibility a strange sexual predator took her but LE has not led us down that path. LE needs to come forward and talk about this case with serious reporters.

If it helps, I think it's safe to move forward assuming the family isn't involved nor the neighbors. I do agree, I would like a sit down type interview with a reporter than a press conference.

The sexual predator of Megan...behaved in the typical fashion most do. He raped, murdered her and didn't bother hiding the body very well. He attempted to burn it...but that only brought attention.

When you compare it to Holly, and how well concealed she is, it doesn't appear it is the same perp. The person who took Holly was not in a hurry apparently but has covered his tracks exceptionally well...unlike Donnie Frank Jones Jr.

Has he even been arrested for her murder yet? My understanding is it was for other charges? TIA

kkdj, I am assuming that he is being investigated for other crimes, jmho. My concern is; if he had prior sex offender crimes, or other violent crimes against women. There's obviously something LE doesn't want the general public to know, huh?

Unless he was a minor, if there are guilty pleas or convictions, that should always be public if you ask me.

Thanks for the info about sexual predators. I can see that some are going to tie the three crimes together. I don't see Holly's case involving an experienced sexual predator. I'm not sure if this case does involve one, though I admit that was my first theory. All three cases don't seem to have a link as far as the behavior/description of the perp.

To tie Holly and Sullivan, you have to NOT believe Clint B or Sullivan in their description. Sullivan says the guy was skinny. To say Holly and the nursing student, 2 hrs away, are connected, you have to question the difference in need to conceal a body. The perp completely changed from concealing a body in the first case to allowing one be found and attracting attn by burning. So he went from clever to amature.

I'm 6' and 200 lbs and I'm certainly never been called overweight, big or fat. I don't know if skinny, but bordering on athletic to skinny. When dealing with eyewitness descriptions, some leeway has to be given. A perp may very well vary the manner in which he disposes of a body. Having said that, I don't know if there is any connection between any of these occurrences, but it's certainly worth looking into.

I think that was one of the reasons Sullivan's perp wasn't considered the same person because of the description.

As for Megan's killer, I brought up Megan's case months ago on this forum and even noted the similarities. The mustang, nursing student, pink purse etc. For whatever reason, it didn't grab attention at the time. It's been brought up over and over on this thread.

I wouldn't dismiss him totally but I suppose if one believes the perp is a local then perhaps this isn't the same guy we're looking for in Holly's case. Megan was lured through an ad. Nothing to suggest Holly responded to any ads or online sites as far as we know.

I'm not real familiar with Megan's case. I thought the perp knew her because his wife and her carpooled or something. Am I wrong? Or was the car pool through an ad? Also, I don't think of local as someone living there but someone with local knowledge of the roads etc...

Why are Donnie f. Jones' records sealed? Who is this guy? I read he's a convicted felon, so how are his records sealed? And his bond was lowered? http://www.tullahomanews.com/?p=8489

Curious.

That's still a pretty high bail for the charges he's facing. Don't be surprised to see it lowered again some time down the road if he doesn't/can't post that much. It's not unusual that a higher bond is set at the outset in all cases, pending a hearing at which time the Defendant usually has a lawyer by then and they argue for a reduction in bond.

Well if I would have just kept reading first. :banghead:

The flight risk explains the bail. That's still awfully high, especially if such charges usually bring a $10,000 bond.

"So around seven o'clock, I called her on her cell phone from my house phone," she said.

Holly told Reece she was going to eat breakfast and put her shoes on and said goodbye.

It was referenced in the 10/8 Jackson Sun article. Not sure if anywhere else.

Was the friend that was on the phone with Holly that morning one of the girls in the YouTube video singing with Holly in the car?

Oh rats! Everyone went :offtobed: I need a new timezone. :waiting:

My understanding is that one of the girl's in the car is the one who began crying in the classroom when Holly didn't show up for her test. I don't know if the third girl in the car is the one who talked to her on the phone. I'm not sure who the third girl is at all.

thanks. i think her conversation with this girl is important because it establishes even further that it wasn't a single group that had contact with her that morning. if only her family had spoken with her, obviously it would be wise to question the timeline, but you had both the circle of family, the circle of friends (well, at least one friend), and the boyfriend who all communicated with her and all can verify the timeline at least within a few minutes of reality. that again puts us firmly in the timeline we already well know - someone grabbed her, talked to her, spirited her away, and managed to hide whatever happened to her well enough that no one has found a trace of her in a year and a half - all within twenty minutes or so. i stick to my conviction that this is either a careful planner who covered every detail or someone so mind-bogglingly lucky that he should play the lottery more often.

Or a little bit of both. I certainly think it was planned out to a good extent. Way too many stars have to line up in a bad way for Holly for it not to have been planned out. At the same time, I think the perp was also extremely lucky, particularly in LE's initial handling. My perception is that it was a circus with the inmates running the asylum with no clear leader making clear decisions on what needs to be done or not done.
