After seeing the layout of the carport attached to the house/kitchen w/windows, I do not understand the reason to have to call Karen to ask about Holly and her going to school.

If a stranger is perceived, why not ask the stranger who he is? The carport is just a few feet from the kitchen door and the area is wide open.

Honestly, I think he was so convinced it was Drew and he didn't want to interfere. Perhaps he called Karen to ask why in the world Holly was still at home when she should have been at school (tattle taling - a sibling thing)? IDK just speculating.

I think they did a little back peddling to protect Drew from people pointing the finger at him and that's when the "stranger voices" and the switch to the perp resembling a cousin on AMW. They don't want people to say the bf did it.

Make sense?

He even called both cell phones and neither answered which further reassured (in his mind) it was Drew. imo

Yes, makes allot of sense - as I mentioned, my parents had laid down the law (so to say) for me not to interfere with older sister's privacy when she was with any of her friends...
I must have been jealous of the attention she was giving them...

Well, okay, but he is five years older than Holly,FWIW.

Still, if he really thought this guy was Drew the whole time, I can totally see not going outside or paying much attention. Didn't he only grow alarmed when the neighbor came by? That rings true to me. I know I wouldn't have much cared what my sister (or brother) was doing with their BF/GF, or that they should have been at school. Would have been annoyed that they woke me up though, so I probably would have said something to that effect.

but why call the cell phones of two people who are eight feet away from you? then not to get concerned when neither answers? this an extremely confusing and frustrating case.

In the family's efforts to protect themselves and the Scott's, the case is confusing. No matter how Holly died, the family is devastated. Naturally, they would like her to come home but that is not possible...and they know it on some level.

If they didn't, they would have taken advantage of all the air time offered them. With the other missing nursing student near there, that mother did. She went on NG and was determined to find who did this....AND they did. She took full advantage of the media. The public needs the full story with Holly. They never got it. This piecemealing bits is not helping.

How about a re-enactment? No 911 tapes are released? Why not? In their effort to protect the family, they have made people curious as to why it is necessary.

Oh,if we could just see a redacted transcript of the 911 calls ....it would go a long way to help us fill in the holes (still left)in the timelines generated by Mr. Notaki and Smoothoperator.MOO

Coon hunting was 4 days before Holly disappeared. Perhaps some of the answers may have to do with what happened during the event. Not the event planners but the participants. Who was not at the coon hunt that should have been and why?

I don't know. Another mystery.

That's a good point! I never thought about... maybe if he just texted her it would be less intrusive, but to voice call, don't know...

The recent mention of their dog being outside and wagging it's tail is what has me most puzzled.

I agree with previous poster who believed LE has a POI and is waiting to see if body can be found before charging...

Not much of Clint's behavior makes a whole lot of sense. If he was interested or concerned enough to get up and look outside, and apparently watch for a while, why the heck he didn't satisfy his curiosity in some way is mystifying.

Whilst looking for articles confirming Clint hearing voices in the yard, I came across this older article and I either missed this info before or totally forgot.

What do you all make of this? Does this mean her cell is still missing contrary to the belief that the Easter find was her cell phone?

Article is dated February 2011

I don't know if anyone has commented on this, but I did note that in one of the two interviews with NewsChannel2 and Channel 4 News out of Nashville that one of the reporters mentioned that her cellphone had been found. I'm assuming he was told this by the family in their private conversations. I almost missed it--the reporter said it so matter-of-factly!

The way I look at it is this: Clint thought that Holly and her boyfriend were having a serious talk about something--maybe even a mild argument. Men, as a general rule hate conflict and are not as nosy as women about what others are discussing. Likely, he did not want to stick his head out and get it chopped off! But yet, I think he probably knew on some level that Holly needed to be at school every day, because he himself was a student and knew the penalties for missing tests and classes. So since it was not 8 o'clock yet, he figured he'd just call mom and ask her what she knew about Holly's schedule! I guess he figured Karen should be able to answer her phone up until class started. He probably did not know Karen had duties with the early-arriving kids that morning down in the cafeteria, or wherever she was. That's my take on those events. It's a plausible story to me, and I found Clint to be very believable in the latest clip from WSMV out of Nashville.

Perps car must have been parked on the road for several minutes. With most people going to work in the morning, no one saw the car? Its a 2 minute walk to the car, means it was a 2 minute walk from the car. He couldn't have gotten lucky enough to walk up the same time she walked out. Also, from the beginning he saw them in the garage, then heard arguing, the saw them looking at a turkey, then saw them walking away. Several phone calls in the middle. had to be 20 minutes or so. No one drove by the car?

Dog doesn't go off on someone lurking the garage?

This case frustrates me so much. I am trying to make sense of it and there is no way to make sense because we are not being told the entire truth.

I think the 911 tapes could clear up so much. At what point does LE say, We can't do it. Here is more info. Help!

Personally, I don't think the perp would have parked by the main road. There was too much chance that he would be seen by someone passing. I think it is far more likely that he parked on the logging road behind the Bobo property. If you look at the pictures of the property in the winter time, the trees were not covered in leaves, giving the perp fewer places to hide in back. So he probably came in from the rear. The only other scenario I can think of is that there has been so much talk of four-wheelers that maybe he parked further away and used a four wheeler to take Holly back to his vehicle. Then he could have loaded the four wheeler up and carried Holly and the four wheeler away. That's a lot of trouble to go to, but it's not out of the realm of possibility, IMO.

We've had numerous purebred Goldens. Every one of them can be quickly silenced with a tasty treat, and you are their friend for life if you give them tasty treats! If someone had been watching Holly and the family, they likely figured this dog was no threat. When you live in the country, dogs bark all the time at deer, skunks, possums, coyotes, etc. you get to the point that you tune it out. As friendly as the Bobo dog Champ looks, I don't think the perp perceived him as much of a threat, IMO! Now the inside dog could be another story. Maybe the perp didn't even know there was an inside dog. If she went off in typical "yappy dog" fashion, maybe the perp was not prepared for the noise and got nervous if he knew Clint was home. If the perp didn't know anyone else was home, a yappy dog trapped inside was no threat to what he was doing outside. JMO

If you go back here to the first HB thread, this was posted. I've read all these threads over and over and still missed this detail:

Authorities: 20-Year-Old Woman May Have Been Abducted

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. - A massive search is underway for a missing Decatur County woman. Investigators believe 20-year-old Holly Bobo was abducted from her home on Wednesday morning.

Investigators said it happened on Swan Johnson Road in Darden. A neighbor called police after reportedly witnessing the abduction around 7:30 a.m.

Authorities said Holly Bobo was on her way to school. She is a student at the UT Martin campus.

The neighbor told police that a man wearing camouflage grabbed the young woman, dragged her across her carport and pulled her into some nearby woods.

The link is no longer working for me on mobile. Did you catch that it was reported the NEIGHBOR witnessed the DRAGGING and reported the kidnapping? From the angle of the neighbor's house, how could they see the carport? The only way to witness it would be from the woods behind the house! Is this just bad reporting, or is something more sinister at play here?

I figure it was simply bad reporting.

Regarding mention of 4-wheeler being used, seems too open.. car seems more likely, but that just IMO...

I guess it was Karen that mentioned the phone being found in an interview in the past year sometime. It was not made public initially.

Would her phone still be taking messages after all this time? Re: her father saying he still leaves her messages. Wouldn't it be full?
And would they have it, or would LE have it and be keeping it charged??
