My feeling is that this might be a ploy by LE. Even the fact that Karen "said" that the bag was not Holly's might have been a part of that ploy.

I just read on the HB fb page that she sang at the annual coon hunt before she disappeared and they just had another one in town ending on April 13.

If LE feels like the perp is placing her items around and they confirmed its hers then decided let's say its not bc the perp might leave something else of hers.....
Why did they come out and specifically say what was in the purse? Doesn't the purse picture look like the purse she had in the picture?
Why not search again today even if its wet? I feel like LE there is shutting down the searches constantly IMO

A million things are running through my head after learning of this new development. The first one I can put out there is a question. It was reported the promise ring was found.

Now, has the promisor who gave her the ring contacted authorities to see it? I would think it has sentimental value to him as well. Especially, if it was a family heirloom as oftentimes could be be the case.

If he hasn't asked to see the ring, what does it mean? Too painful? Or indifference?

Kristin Helm, a spokeswoman with the TBI, told The Jackson Sun this afternoon that Karen Bobo was shown a photo of the purse on Thursday and thought it was Holly's. But when Karen Bobo saw the purse in person today, she said it was not Holly's, Helm said.

"No one touched it until today because we wanted to preserve the scent for the dogs," Helm said.

Since we have absolutely no way of knowing what LE knows, we can't assume anything really. I think that rumor and innuendo runs the media.

Why would they search if they absolutely know that it was not her bag? Do you know how much a search costs? People who know more than us are making these decisions and, in the end, they are the ones who have to answer to the BoBo family.

WOW! So there's a random purse within a mile of a missing person. Do they have a lot of debris or trash laying around there? Wonder what brand the purse is because I'm sure the mom would know if its coach, or brand name purse. The picture of her with the purse looks lavender color.

Pretty brazen for abductor to go that close to the scene to bury the purse/bag. Which was the case IMO. Otherwise, why wasn't it spotted that first day, nor picked up by the original search dogs.

Too bad we cannot get a profiler on here to delve into the mind of someone who would behave in such a manner. Going back to near the scene. Risking being observed planting something.

Why only have those items in the purse/bag? Besides the obvious that if they were found in his possession he would be arrested on the spot. Is it because they would help identify her remains? Are her remains unidentifiable absent these items? Are there going to be remains? Are these things that cannot be burned? Or is this person taunting the family and investigators? Kind of like sticking in their faces by planting it on the family's property.

If the latter is the case, then who holds such violent anger towards the Bobos?

I'm not understanding how $100,000 is going to be attractive to someone who faces life in prison or the death penalty. I think that these people's hearts are in the right place though.
